"ducky" is kendrick's father and "anthony" is Anthony Tiffith(CEO of Kendrick's Label). So this is about how kendrick's dad and anthony met and how anthony coincidentally signed Kendrick years later
@@IGN12354 I believe the story goes like this. I guess people called Anthony “Top Dawg” and he was one of the founders of TDE. So Kendrick mentioned Anthony’s family history “his family history, pimpin’ and bangin’ he was meant to be dangerous”. That lets us know that he was the one who “robbed the manager and shot a customer last year”. Then Kendricks dad Ducky, “drove to California (Compton) with a woman on him and five hundred dollars, they had a son (Kendrick I believe) hopin that he see college”. Ducky started working at the KFC where Anthony robbed a manager and shot the customer. Ducky was well aware of that so he “figured he’d get on these n***** good sides, free chicken every time Anthony posted in line two extra biscuits” then Anthony liked him and didn’t kill him. That decision changed both of there lives and they both went on living, cuz if Anthony killed ducky Top Dawg could be serving life while Kendrick grew up without a father and die in a gun fight.
But it's best to smoke a blunt and listen to the album straight though. The entire album goes together and flows in sequence like a great movie. Good Kid Mad city is the best hiphop album made in the last ten years at least.

In God is Kendrick after to pimp a butterfly , he feels like he done his job for God by making to pimp a butterfly he made that album for God he felt like he was saved to make that album , so now he feels untouchable like he can do what he wants since his job is done . Then fear kicks in when he was young he feared his mom , 17 , he feared death , 27 he feared failure , and now his cousin called him and gives him a reality check so now his fearing God . XXX is total chaos and his questioning his faith like throw a stake of the yacht to a shark he'll take it is like you feed someone enough temptation hell eventually fall into it , the second part his homie calls for advice and his saying how can I help you I can't even help myself , third part it's him being a hypocrite telling someone to kill somebody and then going to talk about him control to kids . I let you do the rest of I'll be writting all day lol .
