    The sample for this is Al Green, the sample for Euphoria was Teddy Pendergrass. They had a hits album together called “Back to Back”.
    “Back to back, I like that record. Ima get back to that for the record.”
    Kendrick came back to that to finish the Back to Back. Both in sample AND going back to back with disses

    I've seen people, mostly Drake supporters/fans, say that Kendrick's songs don't have as much "replay value" as Drake's. Which is especially insane NOW, because me and everyone else listening to these songs have gone back to listen again and again for the sheer amount of hints, references and ominous foreshadowing in every bar. Kdot ... is TRULY not to be trifled with, this is actually scary. He really was on some archangel ish, huh

    • @TheGhostofAbigailMills
      @TheGhostofAbigailMills 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@admurrysinanan7644 Yes, its been fascinating to see. Hip hop as a genre has been so stagnant lately. MTG set the tone early in 2024 with her song "Hiss", which laid the foundation for what we're seeing now with Lamar and Drake. And Lamar being a Pulitzer Prize winner with dense lyrics has made his discography a treasure trove. I understand others might be bewildered by it all from the outside, but its been a blast. Shame it had to come at the cost of so many allegations, but better that these things come up instead of staying buried I suppose.

    • @icu3869
      @icu3869 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +111

      So ridiculous to still think "replay value" is valuable when Kendrick is explaining Drake is toxic, misogynistic, dishonest, irresponsible, lacks integrity and authenticity. Basiclally Drake shouldn't be listened to or rewarded. To have a heathy culture and community, frauds like him shouldn’t be tolerated and Definitely not celebrated. His position of power has been abused, so he can’t keep it . "Replay value" is like saying " Best- tasting poison": you don't WANT it to taste good so you take more.

    K Dot is genius for planting the mole seed... because whether there really is one or not, Drake can't push anyone out of the circle. @kelleybutler9203 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Like these reactor’s are so good at not being biased and they’re honest with their opinions as well. The one’s that are so on point are huge Kendrick Lamar fans or devoted listener’s because they appreciate KDOT’s beautiful, magical, intelligent, multi-layered rap follows and thought provoking lyric’s. These guys need KDOT and a few independent’s that are good lyrically as well but Kendrick is admired by all the independent artists because he’s truly a generational talent. I love when in “Not Like Us” Kendrick tell’s Drake he can have more listener’s if he didn’t just try to make his lyric’s easy or dumb them down. That’s the industry and how these big corporations literally kill true talented artists because they tell them quantity over quality and KDOT is saying and has proven to Drake you can be more creative lyrically and still sell more with even better music. I think Drake’s been around Hollywood elite’s and those type of people for to long already, they’ll use up an artist for money and literally buy friendships so the artist’s will hang around them until suddenly they decide to shelf all your work/art and stop inviting you because they’re sucking the life out of a new younger artist that didn’t have anyone to help them understand how these people are not your friend and are actually bad for you’re mind, body and soul. I think Drake’s action’s have showed KDOT and some others early on that he wasn’t about helping anyone with a hand up like Lil Wayne did for him. Kendrick was spot on with his psychological breakdown of Drake’s personality, he truly view himself as more of a creative artist than even some of the great’s that were called home, much less KDOT and Kendrick knew Drake looked down his nose at KDOT. The “Boogie-man” had to set Drake straight and like listening the definition for Euphoria was like one reactor stated that “KDOT was going to bring him back down to the ground” because I believe his opinion of himself being special started when he was a producer at such a young age and he produced a show that was just young girls (actresses they say were of age just playing younger roles) but there’s some information that that wasn’t watched very closely and that actually a 14 and 15 year old girl’s lied with obvious fake id’s but they didn’t even ask to see theirs identification. The website was pulled down ASAP after the first diss track. Some people were able to save the euphoria website as always but it speaks volume’s to Drake’s character and why hide or delete everything regarding a show that you were awarded for and often felt the need to remind everyone he was a young producer. Yeah imagine UMG (or whoever purchased all of Drake’s publishing, Nike and any other brands he’s connected to was burning up the internet and social media pages trying the his as much as they could. They knew Reddit user were going to be trying to get to it first, also they were probably trying to stop them through not legal means and I imagine using other illegal mean’s to ha+k them also. I know when we got some of the first images of Drake at his son’s soccer match he was constantly checking his phone and I’d say he was looking at the market’s dropping around all his deals. This is another point that Drake was delusional regarding his skills and how as KDOT said perfectly, most of Kendrick Lamar’s work’s or actual masterpiece’s were completely let at to Drake because he honestly didn’t understand KDOT’s metaphor’s or even some of KDOT’s sarcasm wasn’t understood by him either. Now he’s moaning like he was a victim of a crime, when he’s is so freeing through his self inflicted damaged that he’s whined and wanted for years because the control verse hurt his pride and damage his fragile ego and that’s another red flag 🚩 regarding his psychological problems issue’s that’s so even more obvious in his personality flaw’s.

      The religious imagery could also be a reference to Revelation 6:16 of the mountains and rocks falling and about the wrath of the Lamb I.e. Jesus.
      The rock like structure of Drake’s career is falling apart and K-Dot does refer himself as a savior, even a Messiah of Hip Hop in a cultural sense, and so Drake is going to feel the wrath of kdot.

Coupled with Kendrick praying for forgiveness for what he's about to do, he's also praying for stability and strength and for his craft to carry his message.

    Listening to his plea to God in this track again after listening to everything released up to this point to include "black Air Force energy" is spine chilling and just proves that King Kendrick is King for a fuckin reason

    This song is amazing. Crazy ass beat and the foreshadowing kendrick is doing is just too good
