- She made millions of people laugh: the Prime Minister said she was national treasure. The comedian Victoria Wood died from cancer aged just 62. Colleagues called her warm, funny, brilliantly talented, down to earth.
I could not believe we lost a talent as amazing as victoria wood so so sad.I had been in hospital myself for 6 months and when I could come home and heard this sad news I cried and started watching the dinnerladies dvd. So so sad I have heard say ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG...NOT FAIR IN VICTORIA WOODS CASE RIP YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY MANY WHO LOVED YOUR WORK.XX😢😢😢😢
What a brilliant comedian. I loved her sketches and she was one of the funniest people ever . RIP

No, no, no, it can't be. Just found out. "Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got til it's gone." She was so talented and one of my favourite all time performers. You will be greatly missed. RIP Miss Wood.
Usually when a comedian dies, I smile at the laughter they brought to us. I was very sad when we lost Victoria Wood and Caroline Aherne, two geniuses taken far too soon, and whose beautiful and funny observations on life are needed now more than ever in the era of Brexit and Trump.
