    Thank you! I was going crazy trying to find how to see cell voltages with the FrSky mini voltage sensor with a QX7 transmitter, and this worked perfectly. The FrSky MLVSS mini is a cheaper version that doesn't support stacking to handle more than 6 cells.

    I wonder if its possible to make a read out in percent as it’s done in Jumper T16 and use that to set an alarm at 30% or something so it doesn’t matter if it’s using a 4S or a 6S LiPo.

    Could you show how to program a setup for running dual batteries in parallel using two of the flvss voltage sensors? My college class is building some long range fpv planes and we are running dual, 5200mAh 6 cells. I got the first one to work, but I'm not sure how to differentiate between the two in the telemetry if I plugged a second one in. Thank you so much for what you do. Everyone in our program has found your videos extremely useful!

    In this video I saw you use a coil/wrapping in the power supply coming from the ESC to the receiver. Could you explain in short why? Currently I am having problems with FrSky X8R receivers damaging their powersupply on the receiver print and I am curious if you have solved such problems with a coil. Also I am wondering if removing/connecting the voltage sensor while the receiver is under power could damage the receiver, do you know?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mwigman0001 it used to come on the speed controllers back in the day. I've not seen the kind of problems you're describing. I'd make sure that the power supply you're using is good. Best of luck

    • @ryantoomey611
      @ryantoomey611 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the coil wrapping on the ESC receiver lead is for noise and interference (EMI) suppression. The ESC can generate a lot of noise from the motor, which can get into your receiver and cause bad reception.

    lol the manual is so stupid, it just has an arrow pointing at the pins "connect to lipo". I connected it to "bat" and gnd on the power board since it is board-like pin and the thing is it does not work with just the one voltage. it needs all the cells i.e. the balance port, otherwise there is no reading on the Tx. You are really making my pain less all arond;)

Also in case it is not possible with the Pixhawk, I have a Matek PDB , Power Distirbution Board, Current Sensor 184A, which does seem to have a built in current sensor. but I have no clue how to use it to get the voltage from my flight battery down to my taranis. would you have any thought on how this would work. This may sound stupid, but in general what is the average setting that triggers the low voltage alarm. I can't find this basic info' anywhere. Like setting up a KK2 board or similar system for a two and three cell packs. What are their thresholds voltages ?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +loonypics a battery is considered empty when it reads 3.5v per cell. In practice trying to keep the cells from dropping below 3.7v will let them last longer and perform better. When the current is flowing there is a slight drop in the battery itself so you may get a lower reading then one you'd get by checking the battery after a flight. I'd set the alarm for 3.6 per cell and then see what it is after landing. Aim to have no lower than 3.6v per cell after you've landed and disconnected the pack. Best of luck!

    Hello. I bought ARCHER GR6 receiver. I applied a voltage of 2.14 V to the AIN2 input and on the telemetry of my TX TARANIS X9D + 2019 I read a voltage of 8.8 V under A2. If I apply a voltage of 2.26 V, I read in the A2 telemetry a voltage of 9.3 V. If I apply a voltage of 2.48 V, I read in the A2 telemetry a voltage of 10.2 V. I cannot understand how it works the telemetry output A2. I would like to measure the cell 1 voltage of a 2S lipo pack. I would like to subtract this voltage from the total voltage to get the voltage of cell 2. Sorry, we don't use LIFE here. If they have the same balance tap then they should..

    In my telemetry screen I also have a value that says "A2" with a voltage, do you know what this is?

      open-txu.org/basic-frsky-taranis-telemetry-a1-and-a2-voltage-and-telemetry-screens/ should help. Best of luck!

    Can you add this sensor to inav with F405 Wing FC?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You wouldn't need to. See my build with that FC..

      @@Painless360 I got it to work now, I didn't think of providing it with 5v :)

      +Hans Martinus see our video on using telemetry in OpenTx 2.1. We cover all of that there. Best of luck!

      i just realized, that my taranis version is still 2.0.19. i've upgraded to 2.1.6 and it fixed. but i have one more questions. Do i need the Frsky FLVSS Module to get the "Cell/Cells" show up in the Telemetry list ? Can I use FBVS-01 to get the "Cell/Cells" ?

    • @superdau
      @superdau 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cleanflight has got nothing to do with this. The FBVS-01 is just a voltage divider (the voltage sensor is in the receiver), so no, you can't get the voltages of single cells.

    it seems it doesnt show amps.only volts

    Comes of not thinking as I type. Of course I mean two four cell batteries, not 8V and 4V!!! I need 8 cells and am using two 4 cell batteries in series.
