I own a 2019 Gt Stinger, I love it, best car I’ve owned to date, with all the bells n’ whistles it really is best bang for your buck.
I’m hoping as you commented that it may one day be considered “ a classic car “, not sure tho considering it hasn’t the long “ heritage “ of a Ford or Holden in its genes, but it is one of the last “ performance sedans “ in Australia.

I'm glad to hear that you're loving your Stinger flameangel202... it's a fantastic car! And, it may not have the heritage but, if history is anything to go by, fast sedans of the past have become sought after these days. And with electric cars looming, I think cars like the Stinger will always have a place in the hearts of the people!

Thanks and glad you're loving the Stinger... it looks brilliant in pearl white! And, as much as I love the rear wheel drive version we get here, I bet the AWD version is a tonne of fun! :)

I'm sure I have seen your Stinger before because I recognise the number plate . I own a 2018 MY18 Stinger GT and will soon own it for 6 years in March 2024 , hoping I can hold on to my Stinger until it becomes collectable , unlike at this present moment in time.

If you're in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, then it's possible you've seen this Stinger @DCB2018. And as for the Stinger becoming a collectible, I reckon it's just a matter of time. As long as you're enjoying the Stinger, that's all that matters! :)

Great in depth review! I never thought of the stinger being a replacement for the ss and xr but I guess that makes sense

I have a 2022 GT, I waited for the refresh, 1 of the mechanics i used to work with got a 2019. That was the best car add as far as i am concerned you watch what a mechanic buys. I love my car especially when i leave Mustangs behind at the lights. My next door neighbour doesn't like my Stinger because of that. I tease him that his Mustang is all show no go. 🤣 1 question if that is a proper GT spec where is your remote start button? There should be 3 buttons on the side of that remote.??

Indeed @warshrike666, the Stinger is a great car! Funny enough, I own a 2017 Mustang GT (which was stock once upon a time... far from it now though) so I can attest to the fact that the stock manual Mustang struggled to keep up with the automatic Stingers in a straight line (can't comment on automatic vs automatic). At the end of the day though, they're both fantastic cars with unique personalities so I have nothing but love for the Stinger! Oh, and to answer your question, the Australian market Stinger GTs (first generation) didn't get remote start which is why the key fob is missing a button!

@@TheWordOnCars Ah i didn't know that about the remote start. I actually think the Mustang for what it is, is a good car i just like to tease the fan boys that think its the second coming if you know what i mean. 😁 Just was not practical enough for me, I have always wanted a V8 there is no substitute for the sound of a good 8. The 1 i would have got if we didn't get screwed over by GM and our own government with import rules was the C8 corvette i had my name on the list and everything until i found out how much they wanted to charge me. I could not even spec my own car could on choose from what they had pre-built it was a joke. My mate Erin who had the cash to burn got bent over for $210,000 for a convertible that should have cost $70k less. Was so disappointed with the C8 cheapest Corvette ever my ass not in Australia.

No stress, there's a lot in these cars these days so it's hard to be across everything. And I know what you mean about the Mustang/Stinger rivalries... nothing like a little healthy competition (and any excuse to give your mates a hard time is a good excuse lol). Funny you mention the C8 Corvette because I have a friend who ordered one but, like you said, after they released pricing and the fact that you have to take what you can get he decided to cancel the order. Gone are the days of the C8 being an affordable car for the everyday driver!
