I know what you mean @Jon Fye. I think it’s just a matter of time though until someone works out how to do it or Ford gives up the access key… they can clearly do it given Whipple now have a gen 6 supercharger for it. But I’m still in love with my S550 so I’ll stick to that too… they’re awesome cars and like you said, easy to tune! And I’m impressed you managed to get up to 28mpg. I’ve never even come close in mine (although it is supercharged so no hope lol)

Thanks for the comment @Pete Rasmussen and appreciate your perspective. I don’t disagree with you but my comment was specific to the masses that look for SUVs these days (like you mentioned) that are more about comfort, features and tech than just having a good time. For those people out there, it might be irrational to buy a Jimny (even though the fans of the Jimny don’t see it that way). So, I just wanted to show people out there what a fun and lovable little 4WD the Jimny is! 🙂

Thank you @stevewelsh__! I’ve had to dip into my notes on this one given it’s been a little while since I reviewed the SSV. Based on a mix of freeway (say 70%) and city (say 30%) the SSV hovered around 12L/100kms and I was putting my foot into it when I got the chance. If you’re spending most of your time in traffic or in the city, you could easily hit 15/16 (or even more) but on the highway I remember it being quite good (definitely under 10). Hope this helps!

@@TheWordOnCars that’s a huge help thanks! I’ve been tossing up between one of these and an SV6 for daily / work, in my research it seems that while the sv6 generally gets better mileage, it loses much of it with passengers or work gear in the back, and I’d prefer the grunt.

No worries mate. Agree, the SV6 wouldn’t be all that great if you’re pulling extra weight around… the LS3 would make that effortless even though it might churn through a little more fuel. I’m not sure what state you’re in… fuel prices in Victoria are ridiculous these days… but the smiles per litre in the SSV Redline (on top of the fact it’s practical) makes it a winner! Happy shopping 😉

Thanks @jimmycxc1! 😊 I had considered spacers for the front but I’ve heard they put a bit of strain on ball joints, bearings and the steering. But, I can’t imagine that I’ll need anything too wide so thinking you’re onto something here. Will definitely have a look into it… great suggestion! Shame that Shelby didn’t throw in 10s with the CS3s for the front though!

Sure is but shows just how much love there is for the Mustang here in Australia. And compared to everything else, it’s still a bargain! 😁

@@TheWordOnCars can’t disagree with you on that one. Not sure how your car market is across the pond but over here for around 50-60K the Mustang is still the best price for power package available.

It’s the same here @AustinBruner. There isn’t much else on offer here for the price, as a coupe, with as much power and performance that the Mustang has. Plus, it’s a damn good looking car… just iconic! 😌

Thanks @asfn5267 🙂 That's interesting. To my knowledge, the base model... the Jimny Lite... did get a basic stereo while the GLX got the 7 inch screen and XL got the 9 inch screen. There are also a raft of aftermarket systems for these (that integrate really well and look factory) so is it possible that this was added in by the dealer?
