Ymir actually had all 9 titans. Her titan is the only titan to possess all abilities. When she died, her powers got split into the 9 titans we know now.

Also to clarify about the title of this episode, “From You, 2000 Years Ago” and the very first episode of Attack on Titan, “To You, 2000 Years From Now” have a connection that is very important. In this episode, Eren tells Ymir how she must have been waiting for someone all this time, how she was the one who led Eren here to the Paths. From what we saw in the first episode, when Kid Eren was chilling under the tree, he was woken up by flashes of memories that he didnt understand. From my understanding, these flashes of memories were Ymir’s! It was the beacon of help that Eren was referring to when he told her that she led him here to this moment in the Paths.

Ymir making the colossal titans was for the King to create the walls not for herself. He would have commanded her in this case.
I think so many people misunderstood this. Ymir building Titan is a metaphor of her being obedient to Kings' command; for every Eldian turning into Titan, metaphorically she builds their big body in Paths. Ymir didn't built Colossals just out of boredom. She built it because 100 years ago the Descendant Fritz ordered his followers to make walls. King used Founder's power (metaphorically ordering Ymir) to make them into Colossals. In this episode she just giving Eren full control of them not because she prepared those Colossal to war beforehand.
Further elaboration: She builds 3 types of Titans:
1. The 9 (First Fritz's order) to pass down her powers,
2. The dumbs, they don't directly eat The 9, but injected by spinal fluids/by eating Royal member who isn't one of 9.
3. Colossals in the Walls (Paradis Fritz/Reiss' order) and with bonus becoming pacifist.
Ymir has been waiting for someone without Royal blood to inherit the founding titan and reach that coordinate plane that Eren and Zeke are in right now. Eren is the first one to be able to do that.
Also someone who would give her a choice. Like wishing a genie free.
Do you remember the episode ending in 2nd season? Go and watch it again... That ending showed us so much and we didn't know it, Even the rumbling. The epic thing about this is the fact that the ending was made before even the manga shows this info.

13 years after obtained Hallucigenia she died from a spear but the body was served and eaten by each daughter, the one who ate the spinal fluid become the founding titan and the main royal blood, other become subject of Ymir. The main power seperates into 9 titan atmost that still has special trait or ability(which are 9, same number as the Titan from Norse mythology), everyone in the present simply are just descendant from Maria,Rose and Sina and as a slavery she was born she bound and created Path, Dimention to served the king will but the facts that she just suffered and now her power her, the will to be free in Attack Titan finally found and released her and agree to destroy this cruel world.
As the founder titan Ymir had all the titans powers within her including the attack titan

Its not ironic, there is major difference, what has eren always wanted ? , he basically has wanted the extermination of all titans , a world without titans, where his people can live freely. According to Eren by exterminating the rest of the world his people would be free and by freeing yimir the world will be free of titans. The first king wanted Eldia to rule the world with the power of titans, Eren on the other hand wants to en d the world using the titns and also end the end the reign of titans from this world.

There's a theory that Ymir had the 9 abilities. When she died the powers were divided to her daughters, 3 power for each daughter. And when her daughters died, the three powers from each of them were distributed to their children, thus, distributing the 9 titan powers.
I feel like the titan shifters were created to nine people at one time due to one of the early royal commands.
Just like Fritz command become imprinted on Ymir inside the path. Maybe after two generations they realized that with the thirteen years lifespan, it's hard to maintain more and more titan. So a hard command is "coded' into Path. Much like vow to renounce war is imprinted by Karl Fritz.
Also Ymir didn't actually die. She just refused to wake up. All the BS about thirteen year lifespan and spine eating are because of how Ymir interpreted Fritz command and imprint it on the Path.
That's pretty obvious. Hence all titan shifters being limited to her life length as a shifter herself.

Eren basically gave Dobby a sock. Dobby being Ymir. Since every single Royal family was using her as a slave for a very long time. I'm pretty sure she's always wanted to be free but can't since generation by generation the Royal family just passes down the founding titan to their descendants so she has always been a slave to them. Thats why she probably sent Eren the message (Eren's dream on S1E1) which set everything in motion and will eventually lead to the moment Eren freeing Ymir from the Royal bloods.
It's unclear who Ymir was building the titan for. It might be for Karl Fritz to build the walls. Maybe.
But the point of that scene is to show that Ymir build every titan. By hand. Sand by sand. A titan emerge in an instant, but for her, where time had stopped, she build it when the command to spawn the titan came. Imagine spending 2000 years of infinite time.

Interestingly many of the things showed in the EP 21 are from real life element. The creature that attached itself to Ymir's spine resembles/is designed after an ancient organism called Hallucigenia, which lived around 500 million years ago, during the Cambrian period(and discovered in the Burgess shale, Canada). The location itself is kinda symbolic because the Burgess Shale is kinda considered an "Origin of Life" in terms of its archeological significance, thanks to the vast records of biodiversity preserved in it, which lead to the majority of life forms that exist today on the planet. So u can say Ymir "made contact" with the "Source of Life" in a symbolic sense, like Eren hypothesized back in season 3 in anime.

Ymir wants the rumbling too. Ymir allied herself with eren and she was the one who released the rumbling for eren. Eren and Ymir are allied with each other because both of them wants freedom. Eren’s attack titan will is want Ymir wants for herself. Do you notice that in the paths Ymir isn’t in there she’s with eren now.
