      If Grisha wanted to stop Eren, why did he gave the Attack Titan powers after the whole Frieda incident?

      @@friedegg7864 there is only one timeline and the changes in past don't exactly change the events of future. Instead, the past, present and future exist at the same time, simultaneously. Grisha saw the "terrible future" *because* he gave eren those powers and saw future attack titan inheritor's memories. If he didn't feed himself to eren, he wouldn't have learned about the "terrible future", and because he wouldn't have learned about the terrible future, he would've passed on attack titan to eren anyway. One can also say that grisha might have considered outcomes of giving the titan to eren better than the events that would've taken place if he didn't. But that would've defied the essence of the story that: "past, present and future, exist at once" and there is no "different" timeline or outcome

    To clear your confusion, Eren touched historia on season 3, thats when he saw the past. He saw future Eren telling Grisha to kill the royal family and steal the founding titan. After he saw this, he was devastated and blamed himself for everything. He wanted to die, but then when he understood he has to do it for Eldias future, he became the current cold blooded Eren and continued the loop.

      Back in season 3, when Eren was kidnapped and in chains ready to be eaten by Historia, there was a moment when Historia and her father got close to Eren with their hands and Eren saw the memories of what happened when Grisha killed the royal familiy, but because they didn't touched him completely, he only saw the memories partially. In the final episode of season 3, the moment Eren kissed Historia's hand is when he saw everything. He saw himself in the future encouraging Grisha to kill the royal family and stealing the Founding Titan. He also saw something terrible that made him very scared, you can clearly see written in his face. Maybe the terrible thing Eren saw besides himself telling his father to kill the royal family was the terrible thing that Grisha saw in Eren's future memories of what come next.

    Anyone confused with how the Eren manipulated Grisha can check it out :-
    The Attack Titan has the ability to look into the future. This means that Grisha saw Eren viewing his memories in the future with Zeke. By that logic, Grisha saw himself through Eren’s eyes. This means that when Grisha actually went to retake the Founding Titan, he already saw these certain scenes through Eren.

    • @cheesysama8278
      @cheesysama8278 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's technically more so the past; the holders of Attack Titan can send their memories to past holders. So the memories Eren saw were memories he sent to past holders, but then saw again through the POV of past holders during present time. You cannot actually see into the future persay.

  • @giocommentary

    some details so it makes sense. this is why Eren Krueger mentioned Grisha had to save Mikasa and Armin. after which he wonders who's memories he saw. (eren yeager) just before letting Grisha devour him and become the next inheritor.
    The reason why Eren can talk to Grisha in his memories is because the event has already happened.
    What Grisha saw/heard (he can see the memories of Eren from the future) was Eren with Zeke looking at the memories of the past. (cycle)
    and Eren telling Grisha he has to do it.
    its funny noting Eren uses almost the exact same sentences against Grisha that Eren Krueger said to him (Grisha)
    its chilling.. ''Aren't you the one who started this story?''

    • @celeschan90
      @celeschan90 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Owl saw Grisha's memories, not Eren's. Not only because that's less complicated, since those were Grisha's words, (rather than Eren's memories of Grisha's words), and because Grisha uttering that line after hearing them from owl, who heard them from Grisha, makes it come full circle. But also because Owl said he didn't know who's memories these were. If he was seeing things from young Eren's perspective, he should be able to recognize an older Grisha in front of him. But if he saw those memories from Grisha's eyes, then he would see a small child in front of him that he couldn't possibly recognize.

I'm not saying he can't possibly see Eren's memories, but that this particular memory seems to be from Grisha, since it's less complicated that way, and because he didn't seem to know whose memories they were, indicating that he may have been looking through Grisha's eyes at young Eren (whom he cannot recognize) rather than looking through young Eren's eyes at older Grisha, who he can recognize.

      @@Syleion What memory were you talking about before? And to answer your question, the line "To save Mikasa, and Armin and everyone" was said by Grisha when he was about to inject Eren and pass on his Titans to him. So if Owl received a memory from this moment, why would he not see either one of them? In this episode Grisha appears to view Eren's memories through Eren's eyes/field of vision. This explains why Grisha at the end first did not see Zeke even though he knew he was there. And then moments later he was somehow able to see Zeke. Why? What changed? Well seconds after that, we see Eren had appeared and is standing behind them both, viewing them both. Earlier when Grisha thought he saw Zeke in his study, notice how he didn't see Eren? Because Eren was again standing behind both of them, giving Grisha only a view of his own back, and Zeke's front, through Eren's eyes. Just like at the end of the episode. So when Grisha was standing in the doorway talking about the key and seemingly looking straight at future Eren, he was actually seeing himself. That's how he knew that Eren was standing there.
      So if that were the case with Owl, that could explain why he didn't know whose memories those were, even though he should know Grisha.

  • @akihikosakurai4013
    @akihikosakurai4013 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Time travel, even if it's just sending memories to the past, always makes things extremely complicated so I'll try to explain it in a relatively simple way. When
    Future Eren (present Eren) was taken into grisha's memories by zeke, he was able to essentially broadcast his memories to grisha in order to motivate him to take the founding titan. But since it was grisha taking the founder (and subsequently giving it to Eren) that allowed Eren to access the paths in the first place, it's a causality loop. Sort of like if a man went back in time to research a historical event, only to inadvertently cause that event to happen, which leads to him going back in time to research the event, and causing it to happen

    Grisha can see Zeke because Eren was standing behind him and facing at Zeke, so his POV is like a future memory accessed by Grisha.

  • @__door__
    @__door__ ปีที่แล้ว

    To explain the future memories bit, the power of the Attack Titan is the power to send memories from its future inheritors back to its past inheritors. That makes it unique from other Titans which can only see memories from the past. The thing with the future memory transfer is that you can't send future memories back to your past self, since the AT only has to power to send the future memories to its past inheritors. There's a loophole, however, which Eren has exploited. If you send future memories to a past inheritor, and then unlock the past memory of that inheritor seeing those future memories, you see your own future memories.
    Grisha isn't actually seeing Eren. He's seeing himself in the 3rd person from Eren's pov, thus hearing what Eren is saying. It's the same with Zeke, Grisha only sees Zeke when Eren is directly looking at Zeke. When Eren kissed Historia, he unlocked the last of Grisha's memory of Future Eren sending him the future. Thus Eren learned of events which would occur in the future.

    Actually Eren just controlled the whole aot verse to the point here ..as we know the Attack titan can see future memories so it makes sense that if eren is the last inheritor of the Attack titan he's the one who saw the last memory of the future and he controlled everything from the beginning to get to the future he saw in memories ...and remember in season 3 when he kissed Historia's hand and got shocked he actually got spoilers of his own life lol ...he received all the founding Titan memories all of his memories for the future ...so in short Eren knows what needs to be done ..and I don't think there's anything to stop him cuz the future can never change ...i just watched the episode like thrice or maybe more to understand the whole plot XD

    Time is fucked up, the Attack Titan is basically a character of its own. You can not tell how all this started, remember that where they are right now, there is no time, everything happens in an instant and at the same time nothing is happening, so basically this started with one time line, since the beginning Eren got the attack titan, and once he got inside that place where Zeke and him are he can control everything, probably the first time it happened he tried to change the past and gave the Attack Titan to other people, but in every attempt Eldia didn’t had a future nos he or his friends, so he realized in a eternity and in a instant at the same time that the only way to got was to do everything that has being happening. Its fucked up, you have to take the “time” out of the equation to start trying to make sense on what is happening 😂 Eren can not see the future, but his future self exists since the moment he arrived to the coordinate with Zeke, so he can see the future of his future self since he was able to touch Historia, because the Attack Titan can see the future but not interact with it, but with the founding titan he can see his future through his future self.

    If Eren is the last Attack titan he will still see his future but nothing above his death. While the previous could see their ends and even after 8t.

    Could you make the sound of the anime a little louder?! Please!
    Parts of a TV-show are very quiet in all videos.

    eren dont know anything since there's will be no next inheritor of the attack titan so eren cant access the future just like grisha said the attack titan can see the future through the next inheritor just like kruger he knows armin and mikasa because he has access to the future through eren cause eren will inherit the attack titan after grisha since theres no attack titan after eren he cant access the future

    Zeke never thought "that father" of him already changes and his beloved brother actually born to be evil.
    Interesting discussion so I want to point out that IF Eren really is the last inheritors of Attack Titan then there's no way he see the future beyond his life time bc no more future memories to send to him, he might want to success the plan of whatever future Eren in his dad's memories done.

    So eren convinced his father to murder a bunch of children, so his father would give him the power to end the world. eren is incredibly evil. let that sink in.
