You know... when you consider the fact that there were very few interactions between the trio as a whole in KH3 (and absolutely no interactiond with Riku and Kairi), the linr about them being "less than friends" really hits closer to home.

Tetsuya Nemura purposefully left obscurities among the trios friendship for fan speculation and imagination to keep the game alive for years to come, therefore the games never really fully divulge the true relationships and connections among the characters and it's implied they may never fully explain them... I feel that the circumstances throughout the game help to show how strong their connection to one another really is, especially since you see them together so little they become connected and unified on a different level which is what I think the story emits in a lot of different ways

This might just be the most underrated TLT single. I know absolutely nothing about Kingdom hearts but I'm gaining the urge to play it just because of this song. I know I'm 4 years late but I must commend TLT for making this masterpiece.

You should absolutely play the games. They are full of hard hitting emotions, even if the story can get a bit silly at times
Do it, great game series, confusing at times, but it pulls your heartstrings in all the right ways
This has been my favorite game series since I was 8 (I'm 21 now). If you like emotional stories in games, this is the one for you. I don't really cry in life, but this game is a different fucking monster. Nothing even comes close to being as good as this game.
Considering the ending, a lot of this becomes a lot sadder.

As a big fan of Kingdom Hearts, growing with Sora, Riku and Kairi, this song makes me cry like a fucking baby, and guys, Roxas is the most unlucky protagonist of any videogame along with Kratos. Roxas is a copy of someone else, hi lost his friends, and he can't even remember one of them, but at least Sora's sacrifice in KH3 made them be together again, with real bodies.
Kaz well he's a copy of 2 people, Sora for being his nobody and Ventus for looking like an exact clone in appearance
Whats sad is even in the games, Terra just became a wandering spirit just fighting, but withouth a reason why.
That's so true, Roxas woke up in a random town, he was then sent into an organisation against his will and while there he gains a conscience and makes friends but then one day he loses all of that, every single one that he had as a friend, then he was tricked into having other friends and turns out that he wasn't even really friends with real people, his life was all either a lie or trauma.
If you think that sora Is a stupid character after what he did for them.. you are f*cking messed up- it dosent mater if he uses the power of friendship. It's something that is definatly real and once you lose that power. Its a real heavy hitter. And not the good way.. trust me ik.. and you know what. For those of you who think kingdom hearts is a stupid series without any experience. How about you play it for once and try to understand what it's about.

the end really hit because i had 3 best friends in the past weve been best friends for 7 years and both of them moved out and then the other so we had contact with each other and one day we just stopped texting many years later we met up again but we tried to act like best friends again but it just wasnt the same.
If u still hang out try to build up that friendship again. Not for the sake of nostalgia, but for the friendship and good times u can have again

She literaly had me go througha. Break down and is still curently backstabbing me. My other bestfriend came back. But it just didnt feel the same as we were hanging out with more people and spendingnkess time with eachother. My life curently sucks right now and most of the lyrics in the song I can relate too.

You got me all emotional, all these memories and references, I almost cried, definitely a different song from your previous catalog but the nostalgic and sweet tune of the guitar accompanied along the amazing singing really fits the theme of the games. EDIT: Anyone else remember that scene in KH2 where Kairi is coming home from school? Like, actually high school? Like, Kairi, Riku, and Sora all have parents; the Destiny Island we play through in the games is just a small island off the coast of an actual city. It’s just weird to think about all the minutia and mundane details of the KH world that do exist, but never get brought up. Like, in this epic story, how much school has Riku and Sora missed? Are they technically drop outs by now?

Sora's voice definitely does fit enough. It gives the feeling of him, but its when it goes to Roxas when it becomes insane. It sounds exactly like him. I have no idea how they did it, but I love it. With this video, everything is Simple and Clean again. We can stay in our Sanctuary here. We Don't Think Twice about going there, and we won't need to Face Our(My) Fears. This is Ultimately the kind of Lady Luck we needed from the Wishing Star from our Star Seekers. Our Three Wishes were granted by the Fairy Harp throughout our lives. I have only play Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days when I was like 12 years old. I had no idea about the whole story but that ending without knowing its deeper meaning in the lore (which I still don't know. Would love to actually know all the details) still makes me cry and was actually one of the saddest moments of my gaming history. BUT not the most :). Okami has still the most special place in my heart.

3:07 - 3:16 really got me. "I promised we would stay friends, but summer had to end." Kingdom Hearts 2 was the first KH game I ever played, back when I was six.
Back then I got really into games and got emotional at the end of the Roxas portion of the game. This song brings back those feelings in such a subtle way. I immediately love this song... definitely one of my favorites now.

God, Roxas's segment just solidifies why he's my favourite character in Kingdom Hearts, just easily the most tragic and heartfelt character, all he wanted was to be with his friends
I've had to stop listening to this song because it's so true. These lyrics are correct in every way. Especially, Roxas's part. That sadness and heartbreak shake me.

This song is amazing and I'm so glad you made a song for Kingdom Hearts. My dad and I used to play Kingdom Hearts together, sometimes even roping my little brother into it too. He was so excited for Kingdom Hearts 4, but he died early 2017 so he never got to see it or play it. This song makes me so happy and a little sad too from the memories, but a good sad.
Why im crying when I remembered my crush that doesn't like me and my classmate who will be scattered in any places because the class has been closing for christmas and reunite again for the last time on january and the hardest part that closing classes is near and its time to say the goodbye words and the only left is the memory until we grow older and we just less friends and recalling some of the best memory in the school days :( this will be nostalgic

Oh my god... Hearing these sort of simplified, toned down songs on TLT's channel are wonderful, and this one... This one hurts so much with putting the context of these characters being tragically torn through the worlds... Through life and existence even in Roxas' case... God damn.

Roxas' chorus made me cry. It reminded me of 5th grade, the last time I saw my best friend. I thought we would stay friends, but I haven't seen him in a while and I miss him 😭
