It makes me sad most people don't realize the importance of Roxas's words in the game because they're casuals who don't take time to understand the details of the bond between Roxas, Axel, and Xion. How eating ice cream and hanging out to watch the sunset on the clock tower was all he understood about what friends do together. I truly felt for Roxas when Xion died and damn near cried. I am so relieved Roxas, Axel, and Xion are finally back together again.
Watching this 6 years later, I've come to the conclusion that this is now the unofficial/spiritual theme song for 358/2 Days. Sanctuary is still damn great, but you can't change my mind on this. Great work here, Mr. WantsToBattle

As far as im aware, this is the first well made fan song for a KH game. And I'm so glad it was for 358/2 Days, since Roxas is my favorite character and the sea salt trio as my favorite trio. Song still holds up to this day, very amazing work
I like how each part of the song represents a character in the game, the first part representing Xion, the second representing Axel, and the third representing Roxas.

I really appreciate the bridge at 2:49-3:15 in dedication to Xion, and the youtuber that added lyrics to her song. Good on you, for that one, that's what tipped the scale and made me fall in love even more with this song.

rusty shackleford I too heard three songs on this piece of music, but I took it in a different way than you did. The beginning and chorus mostly seemed to be Roxas, the screaming part on the middle was Axel (hence the "Got it memorized?" part), and the end verse was obviously Xion (I don't know why. Oh, maybe because the lyrics he had for it was taken from an actual fan song actually made for Xion?). But I thought it was quite brilliant and saddening at the same time to hear all the hard emotions put into it that Nate did. I think it's very well done.
This song is not only a fantastic song but I'm loving the lyrics. It's a fansong that actually makes sense without that context. Amazing piece of music

Absolutely. Of course, the actual ending was one mission later than the part where I cried like a baby. That last bit had to be there to tie into KH2, since the entire rest of 358/2 Days was forgotten in-universe.
What I love so much about a lot of Nate’s music is how when I listen to it the first time, it doesn’t click that it’s from a game. Then I’ll listen to it again months later and have a whole new appreciation for a song I already enjoy.

My gosh this song...it kills me emotionally. Axel, Roxas, and Xion had such great friendship to have it end in a really sad tragedy. They were my favorite group of friends in that series.

I too heard three songs on this piece of music, but I took it in a different way than you did. The beginning and chorus mostly seemed to be Roxas, the screaming part on the middle was Axel (hence the "Got it memorized?" part), and the end verse was obviously Xion (I don't know why. Oh, maybe because the lyrics he had for it was taken from an actual fan song actually made for Xion?). But I thought it was quite brilliant and saddening at the same time to hear all the hard emotions put into it that Nate did. I think it's very well done.

Absolutely. Of course, the actual ending was one mission later than the part where I cried like a baby. That last bit had to be there to tie into KH2, since the entire rest of 358/2 Days was forgotten in-universe.
I couldn't NOT cry for over a year when the game came out.
What I love so much about a lot of Nate’s music is how when I listen to it the first time, it doesn’t click that it’s from a game. Then I’ll listen to it again months later and have a whole new appreciation for a song I already enjoy.
