Actually, I'm surprised you aren't connecting that Tenko was a late bloomer and Izuku was Quirkless to link that Decay may be Izuku's original quirk and AFO siphoned it and then gave it to Tenko to ruin his life. It's clear that AFO WAS watching and waiting for Tenko's breakdown.
Izuku is five years younger than Tenko and Tenko didn't get a quirk until he was five. This connection would fit the story's overall theme of how quirks influence the development of children and be a big weight of guilt on Izuku to make him want to save Tenko.
Ooh, if it was Izuku's quirk, i wonder if he would have been able to control it alot better? Perhaps becoming a hero who specializes in disintegrating obstacles, sorta like 11?

I made a blog post on this where I showed the manga panels and anime shots of Inko having an Upset Anime Woman Pose BEFORE Izuku was declared Quirkless. She is upset, for some reason, while she watches Izuku watch his favorite All Might video. She has no explained reason to be standing in the background secretly upset, but there she is.
So. Eri. Who accidentally killed her father, which caused her mother to run away. Chisaki Kai, who is inexplicably an orphan with a very similar power to destroy with his hands. Tenko. Kirishima says he accidentally hurt himself when he activated his quirk, and he's ANOTHER character inspired by Izuku. Mirio could have been killed by his permeation and it's only through VERY careful training that he's thriving with it. The story repeats this. So, which is a better written story? For Izuku to just be so nice of a guy that he has lots of empathy for the support characters around him... Or for him to have gone through a similar experience as them?
I entirely believe a baby Izuku accidentally killed Midoriya Hisashi, which is why his pediatrician is AFO's doctor. Eri's mother is the foil to Inko, like Overhaul's hatred of the quirk he used on his father (biological and adopted, jeez) contrasts with Tenko gladly using his quirk on his father.
And the backstory we received on the Traitor completely aligns with what also happened to the Midoriya family.

I always liked the idea that a cloned quirk isn't easy to make and AFO had Izuku and possibly other children to attempt to get a copy of it eventually due to his inevitable death approaching and his desire to leave a legacy. He'd need 2 AFOs to properly transfer everything where it needed to go. Deku was born with another version of AFO and it was immediately stolen, but since he technically has all the correct circuitry to use multiple quirks that's why he can use the other OFA users powers.

Or maybe he didn’t actually have a copy of AFO, but because his dad had the ability to hold multiple and foreign quirks, Deku inherited it anyway, like Dabi inheriting cold resistance from his Mom. If AFO is Deku’s father (which I personally hope is true) then I like the idea that Deku originally had Decay, but AFO gave it to Tenko to get enough control over him to get someone who would become Tomura Shigaraki. That way, he could create a powerful villain who could act as the successor of the AFO quirk
@@Gemini-Lion I've also been thinking about that one. I think Izuku would have been born about the time decay manifested since Shigaraki is supposed to be in his mid-twenties putting him at between 5-10 years older than him; which the timeline also matches up perfectly with for AFO's loss to all might 7-8 years before present. But this would mean he started the plan prior to that defeat.

As badly as I want a star wars reveal, I find it highly unlikely that Deku wouldn't recognize his own father's face or voice from the flashbacks he saw.

AFO could of altered both of those though use of any number of Quirks he had. Part of this theory is hinging on the fact AFO used Heteromorphic Quirks to alter his features, who's to say he also didn't alter his voice as well?

Not only that, has Deku seen AFO's face fully yet? I can't seem to remember a time where he has, as even within OFA, AFO's face, or part of his face, has been covered.
@@Zoten001 a very good point. And that would certainly be one heck of a method of reveal. Just imagine it: AFO reveals to Deku that he is his biological father, and Deku assumes he’s lying to throw him off and gain the upper hand. But then AFO begins to speaking in Deku’s Dad’s voice using a voice-modifying quirk and says something to Deku that only his father would know. Then Deku would have a moment of deep existential shock and terror, not unlike All Might’s moment of shock and horror when AFO first revealed to him that Tomura was Nana’s grandson.
The thing about AFO is that he can change anything and everything about himself
I love the DFO theory, but I think there's another possible way it could've worked out. If you think about it, Tomura is 5 years older than Deku and AFO and Tomura met when he was around 5 years old. So once AFO found his successor, he needed a copy of his quirk to pass on to him, meaning he needed to have a child.. Izuku. So AFO and Inko get together because, lets face it, he was a pretty attractive guy back in the day. They have Izuku together, and AFO steals his copy of the quirk and gives it to Garaki. Inko and Deku go to Garaki as the 'Family GP' and Garaki comes up with a lie about Deku's toe having an extra bone. It would all explain so much about how Deku can handle 8 different quirks despite being quirkless (and almost everyone else not being able to handle more than one, except for Deku and AFO). It also plays into the fact of quirks being attached to your consciousness, so even though Deku's version of AFO got removed, he can still take quirks within his subconsciousness (OFA).
That is an interesting theory that is making so much sense to me from what I've noticed in the show, like seriously, if we get a Luke and Darth Vadar father/son scene like we did in the movie, Imma be hella surprised

OMG that's what I've been thinking!! Nobody suggests that afo could just had made a lot of baby's just for the focus or making/stealing quirks. Everyone just suggests that if afo was dekus dad that Deku would be his only son. But I believe more logically that he's just had a lot of babies for the use of their quirks. Kind of dark really thinking about it but afo is really selfish so wouldn't be surprised
I also suspect AFO is Deku's dad... 1-Allmight wen first meeting Deku's mom, said she reminded her of his master and Deku's mom also happens to have float-like quirk... Allmights master was on AFOs mind always, hence tracking and finding her family... I also feel that Dekus purpose was for AFO to get a second AFO quirk which he has now transplanted into Shigaraki... I suspect Inko couldn't have children so she made a deal with him
So what if Deku's quirk isn't a stockpiling quirk but an evolution quirk? This would explain why he has a desire to study quirk to a fanatical degree and is always thinking of was to make them better

So quirks being hereditary makes the theory of his dad going to AFO make 0 sense because how would taking his own away effect his already brewing child
I think that All for One would be Deku's dad, but to step back and think about the last name midoriya which midori means green in japanese and Midoriya is green valley.
And based on Izuku's hair he has green and black hair signifying that his dad had to have had black hair. When making a theory like this I think the genetics plays a key role in this. For example Rei todoroki has white hair and Enji todoroki has red hair and their children either have red or white hair or a mix a both.
Also Hisashi having a quirk and Inko having quirk only to give birth to a baby without a quirk just doesn't make sense though it's possible it wouldn't make sense from a genetic standpoint. If anything its very strange how two people with quirks give birth to child without a quirk, not unless the child got their quirk stolen.

I think the whole All for One dad idea was just to be a future vessel for himself that he could more easily control as we see he has to fight with Tomura to take/maintain control. After learning the child didn't have a quirk he decided to go out for some milk like many other fathers. We already know the only reason AFO took in Tomura was to be a future vessel that he could easily control and manipulate. I think we will get the reveal once Deku sees young AFO that is fighting Endeavor and Hawks.
Makes sense especially because all for one is old af and closer related to the past people without quirks

@@nigamon he doesn’t care about his son he only cares about having a new vessel. A quirk less body can’t handle quirks (a fact he knows from what he’s done to others) is useless to him. We learned from Dabi AFO had a whole orphanage/hospital of potential vessels if Shigaraki was a failure. Dabi was also a potential vessel till the doc pointed out he was broken beyond repair and they kicked him out to die.

I think something that could be added to his potential disappearance from Deku's life is that the timeline for him leaving would loosely line up with the battle that AFO and All Might had that ended up giving All Might his injury. Assuming that AFO was as damaged as All Might assumed he was then he may have had to leave to go into hiding and recover.

AFO lost eyes, ears and a face after that encounter with All Might. Definitely needed to go into hiding. That was 6 years before Deku got OFA though.

There could be other reasons AFO got with Inko if we go with the Dad For One theory
1. He may have been trying to improve his own quirk
Inko attracts small objects to her, which by itself doesn't seem strong, but thinking about the applications could be terrifying. Organs are small objects, and so are atoms, who knows the limits? Anyways, with that quirk, maybe he wanted to try to combine it with AFO so he could take quirks from a distance?
2. There is another theory that Inko Midoriya is Nana Shimura's daughter, based on the fact of similar quirks and appearances. If that were true, not only would he take revenge against Shimura and All Might by stealing away Tenko, but also saying, "Look at me, I'm family now, your daughter is the mother of my child!"
There is also the point in bringing up the fact that the First User has some vague similarities to Midoriya (mainly the eyes), and in all likelihood, Midoriya's father would have lighter hair than Inko, considering darker genes are more dominant. Heck, even their name, Midoriya, just means "green valley" with the word for green in it. Sounds like a quickly-made cover name that he could've gotten from looking at Inko's hair lol.
Even if Izuku being quirkless makes sense. He either had his quirk stolen, or could've easily been born quirkless, AFO's brother was quirkless, and he is part of the first generation with quirks, when they were much rarer than they are in the current MHA timeline, the chances of being quirkless go up exponentially when both of these factors are considered.
I think if it's anyone we already met, it's Endeavor. I think this would make sense because his mother never like the idea of him being in danger. So when she found out she was pregnant by a top hero, she elected not to tell him about the pregnancy and raise deku on her own so that he'll be safe.

Problem here is Nana Shimura. Nana specifically told either Toshinori or Gran Torino about being approached by the vestiges but being told the quirk was not ready yet. So Deku wasn't the ONLY one to see into One for All, simply the only one who has currently manifested the powers

I thought they said the doctor was working with kids to scout out useful quirks for OFA to take? I always assumed Deku had a quirk but the doctor took it away and lied saying he didn't have one. Deku would have had telekinesis, fire, or a mix of the two which would have been a pretty useful general quirk

I drew a concept art a while ago (lost it though, still pissed about that) of what Deku's original quirk would be. I always thought it would be cool if it was like a plasma quirk or something. So, almost like a lightsaber, Deku could create/manipulate beams of plasma from his body. He could turn them into whips, swords, shields, you name it.

Maybe the mom didn't talk about his father's quirk because Deku didn't have one so she probably didn't want to make him feel worse than he already did
Actually the stockpiling quirk was given to the first user by AFO, his original wuirk was a quirk that allowed for the user to pass itself on, it didn’t do anything else so he seemed quirk less but that ability to pass on quirks also applied to any other quirk acquired, so the two quirks fused
No, deku’s quirk is the ability to have multiple quirks. It’s essentially half of afo and it all makes too much sense. Why have nomu only been around what we’ve seen of them and never before? Deku’s quirk came along. Why did one for all not evolve in all mights possession who essentially grew it to a god level power? Deku’s quirk unlocked the previous quirks.
And as a note this is just his ability to have more than one quirk and not develop potato brain like we see happen to spinner and know happens to normal people.
Yes, that's actually what I have been thinking. That thanks to AFOs genetics his body got the capacity to hold more than one quirk. But since AfO is a first generation quirk user, deku just really ended up quirkless because of that.
I like the theory that deku has a family relation to ofa/ afo and that being a quirkless decendant being why he has a deeper connection to ofa. My only two problems are that ofa started as two fused quirks being the transmission quirk and the stockpiling quirk and though mutations are a thing I think I would like the theory more of deku wasn’t related to the first user or afo but to the original owner of the stockpiling quirk before it became ofa and that being why his father with a flame quirk had to be gone… His quirk instead of breathing out flames .. breathed in flames which he had no way of releasing safely and so he chose to live away from his family.
OFA started off with the transfer quirk from Youchi and the stockpile quirk he was given by AFO. Other then that it would be an interesting idea to see, his fathers quirk being a safety hazard. Or perhaps he wanted his quirk to be taken, went to AFO. Some type of connection like that would be surprising
If AFO isn't Deku's father, I would want it to be a new character that is introduced at the end of MHA to link Deku to a part 2 in America (very wishful thinking). It's said he works abroad/travels for work, so maybe he works in America and needs to take Deku there if the villains end up winning and Japan falls. Like I said, this is very wishful thinking for a Part 2, but I would love for MHA to end with Hisashi arriving to take Deku and saying, "it's been a long time since I've seen you" or something to that effect (referencing his name). Then the next panel would be "Part 1: My Hero Academia END" like they did with Chainsaw Man part 1 lol.
All for One is definitely Deku's uncle.
At this point we are pretty sure that AFO isnt dekus father because deku and his mother would recognize him so his father is probably regular guy with a quirk who works outside japan

It was stated that Garaki is the leading expert in quirk research so this allows him to hide his connection to All For One while he has access to people who may either lack quirks or have quirks that are out of control which he can guide them to AFO. Remember, AFO is like Sauron in the time period of The Hobbit where he is more of a myth or legend as his first fight with All Might is a well guarded secret.

The brother of All For One wasn't born with a stockpiling quirk. All For One gave him the stockpiling quirk because he thought his brother was born without one. In reality he had one part of the All For One quirk. All For One has the power to take and give quirks. His brother can only give them. That's why it's called One For All.

Another reason I think that All for One would choose Inko is because of her quirk. If he want to have a successor to steal One for All, would he need a boost and Inko’s allows her to pull objects so if All for One and inko had a child who had a quirk of both then the child might have had strength to take quirks better than All for One
Maybe deku's dad was always there in the flash back but deku's memories got tampered with.
Imagine the reveal is just the manga ends and then there's a tiny panel of a random guy that just says "Deku's Dad"

There is one reason that I didn't see you mention, that could explain why Shigaraki got together with Inko: hoping for a mutation of his quirk and hers.
After all, he needs to touch people in some way to be able to take their quirks away, be it his hand directly, or some kind of quirk-enhanced extension. But Inko's quirk of attracting objects, and his quirk of taking and giving quirks, put together? TAKING QUIRKS FROM A DISTANCE.
And if the resulting quirk was as powerful as his own, then it'd be perfect for his arsenal.

One problem I see with the Nighteye-likr quirk Is that if he saw enough of Inko's life he could probably saw Deku becoming a UA student or even if he didn't saw anything related, why he didn't unalive them the moment he found out Deku Is quirkless. I don't imagine the Big Brain Mastermind AFO leaving loose ends that could get in the way in the future.

I really like the idea that Deku is All for One's son and the doctor (sorry I always forget his name) took his quirk before it could manifest. I'm not a manga reader so my knowledge is limited, but if All for One had a kid there's every chance that the kid would have the same quirk. Quirks being genetic information that's apparently different enough to selectively identify, so if Deku had a copy of All for One (the quirk) than All for One (the guy) might wanna snatch it and give it to someone he's deemed as a better successor like Shigaraki

Depending on the video of course, some of the videos on this page do have spoilers but its pretty easy to tell which do and don’t just based off what the video is about.

I think afo could be the father and that the movies give a hint to it rather than being non canon esque, as in the movies we see deku give ofa to bakugo but only temporary and done so via "touch". I think as afo is the father, deku did get a power saving/giving type quirk which made it look like he was quirkless, his one being a power sharing quirk. Where he can voluntarily give some of his stored power to others which would explain the incident in the film as it be stated that you have to voluntarily give hair to pass the quirk yet doku just needed to touch bakugo to do it.
Since I heard that the writer likes Star Wars I have been saying this for years. All for One also just reminds me of Darth Vader.
What if Deku is descended from the first user like his grandson? And Garaki was just keeping an eye on the extended family to see if anything interesting happens among the descendants?

Theory, Deku's father is actually Endeavor! Endeavor cheated on his family before the Death of Toya due of to the stress of everything and Deku is the result. Also explains why it is kept on the down low about his dad and why she does not want him to be a hero. Also explains the hair and why Deku looks more like Endeavor then Shoto does, and that Deku's mom was actually relieved that he was Quirkless as it made it easier to hide the truth.... honestly, the most logical reason the Dr. is working as a Pediatrician, is to have access to all the children he would. Young children who are just developing their quirks, and those with interesting and useful quirks can then be logged and tracked for later extraction by All For One. He now has access to their blood, and important details like where they live, their parents occupations and abilities and if they might be difficult or easy targets to harvest. How else are they going to so easily find so many useful quirks that can be stolen before the users become an issue?
this darth vader thoery does make sense but its too predictable i think. Deku's father may as well be someone like the detective friend of all might who had to leave his family behind to go onto secret investigations around the world. The space for his father's identity is too far wide open to narrow it down to someone we already know.
