@@Anon-wh4ou It was probably due to a bug but my pod ended up really close to the back of the Aurora. When I came back to it there was a reaper around. Went inside, attracted its attention along the way, reaper tried to get to me but can't destroy the pod, ends up pushing me around.
Hasn't happened since.
I don’t have the same experience but once on one of my pre-release saves my Lifepod somehow drifted until it was 500 meters into the void. I promptly decided “fuck that” and never returned to that Lifepod
Yeah, but that's only if you were unlucky enough to spawn right next to the Aurora, still it is a fair point
All my playthroughs the life pod was in pretty much the exact same place! I didn't realise it could move at all

jack has that childlike wonder whereas mark is more catious about everything and dosen't have that wonder anymore. marks more like a teenager while jacks more like a little kid in many diffrent ways from their loudness to their playthrough styles to the jokes that they make (jack dosen't make nearly as many innapropriate jokes unless he's with mark)

It's annoying is what it is to a certain extent
I hope he eventually gets to the full game. Especially after playing so much of the first subnautica
Can so relate to the feeling of "I hate it, I hate it!" scrambling to get out of the water. Played the first Subnautica, and the second one when it was finished, and it still makes me queezy with fear just jumping into the shallows.
This series is going be longer than Jack's, purely because it'll take Mark twice as long to approach anything.

I've noticed that some of the glowing rock outcroppings like a lot like giant tentacles, what if they're actually a fossilized skeleton of some ancient beast? also, I really like this series. It took me awhile to get here, but it was fun :)

I love this playthrough so much!! I really hope he continues the game someday now that it's completely finished. WE NEED THE KING OF SUBNAUTICA BACK, MARK!!
God, I missed this. I loved these Subnautica videos because despite his obvious fear he was always cracking jokes, rationalizing, and laughing. It's always nice to come back to it and smile at the jokes and the way he screams at the ocean as if it can hear him. If Mark sees this, which isn't likely but whatever, Thanks man, for doin' what ya do, and just for bein' you.

Mark was more scared playing this than he was playing RE2.
Well in RE2 he has several weapons with which he can dispatch the zoms and monsters. In subnautica he doesn’t have those weapons. On top of that he is terrified of the ocean.

I get the feeling he was more terrified of the first Subnautica than the other horror-themed games he played. I'm sure that if I'd played there's a slight chance I MIGHT react the same. At the same time I"m pretty sure I would be as absorbed into the game's story as I was in Breath of the Wild.
Yea, like I understand being cautious in a new situation, but I felt he was outright terrified of a new environment. He was already terrified through most of the original gameplay. Mark likes when things are familiar, and when he can be in control of the situation. Also, while he can say he's not scared of the ocean, I think we can all see the reality lol.
That entrance to the blood roots reminds me of the Depths of Despair from Barbie: Mermaidia,which is basically a large hole filled with kelp-like plants that,when they catch you,drag you closer and wrap their other tendrils around like a cage,where you're presumably eaten slowly as you're pulled deeper into what can be assumed to be their orifices.

Funny thing is, we humans know more about space than our own oceans
