Thank you!!! We spent 30 mins figuring out why our base wasn’t secure enough. The pushing towards car seat and pulling the strap trick helped get us there! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much ! I have been following your instructions since the birth of our son. And I think you might have saved our lives. My wife and my son was rear ended by a CARELESS driver, who wasn't looking at the road while doing 35-40 mph. And went into the back of our van with no brakes. Thank God, we had the 5 point harness and I had installed the seat based on your instructions. Again Thank you very much for your videos.
34 weeks pregnant. So easy to install the base. My husband started to try and figure it out and got an important phone call. So, I tried and it worked. I don't have much muscle at all due to pregnancy pain, so I will have him tighten it the rest of the way. Super easy! Thank you!!!
OK, first, gurlfriend, those shoes are fabulous, I give the shoes a solid 10. OK, seriously this is a really well-done instruction, it's easy to understand, she speaks at a pace that is even and she doesn't sound like she's talking with marbles in her mouth plus for three days I've been trying to figure out how to release the latches and somehow when I watched this I at least knew I wasn't crazy. I was just getting ready to send it back so thank you so much!!! Once I got those latches correctly in place I was now secure in knowing that the seat was totally secure. Excellent video. Now to find putting the back piece in place without unlatching it.
Thanks alot. This was very helpful 🙂38 weeks and 4 days. Am so weak and tired but this was very helpful because am doing everything by myself now yet its my first baby and being all by myself here in America, I find everything challenging..But am happy that I managed to do this...Thanks once again
@Lyna K (I'm here cuz i am finally putting in a second car seat base and wanted to refresh my memory, and I saw your comment.) You single moms are absolute ROCKSTARS! My wife and I are on our first as well, and at almost a year old now, we can't count the amount of times we've said prayers and have sat in sheer awe of the women who do ALL of this on their own! I hope you and your little one are doing well, 4 months later! 🙂 Stay well!
Thank you soooo much! I was also pushing down on the base and not back toward the seat and was disappointed with how much it wiggled side to side, awesome tips!
Thank you!! Thank you!!!! I was pushing down during tightening and couldn't figure out why it still moved so much side to side. Your video was so much clearer than the instruction book.
First time father and can't wait for my son to come home from the hospital. My rear seats have two gray dots about half an inch wide indicating the location of the latches inside the seats. If not certain of their location, feel in between the seats for the latches.
Just installed in my 2018 jeep wrangler with the latch method, in case anyone is wondering if it has the connectors! It does! This made installation a breeze but hubs will definitely have to tighten it, as I just can't hack it.
Thank You! I'm going to install several seats then get them checked. Hopefully you taught me well enough to pass the test! I worry about some of the video's out there that are not as good. I wish they cold be taken down.
This was super helpful! Luckily, my car has the latch connectors so installation was a breeze. If not, your other video using the seat belts was super helpful too if we decide to place the carseat on the middle seat! :)
Truly a great tutorial, thank you!! I couldn't help but laugh at some of the posturing/positioning as I'm 5'11" and will be working in a Nissan Rogue and it won't look like that for me 😭😂
Alisa, We had this base put in by a hospital installer who said the middle seat is safer and that the seat belt for works best for it vs the latch. Is this true? In your other video for this base, you used the seat belt to install in the middle seat, rather than the latch/passenger seat in this video. When our base comes loose, we have a lot of difficulty fixing it with the seat belt. The latch looks much easier but I want to do what is best for the baby. What are your thoughts? Thank you
Thanks so much, I was trying to use the backseat seatbelts and it just was not tightening properly until you showed me how to use the latch, thanks for a great tutorial!!👍🏽😁
Where on earth did you put the latch connectors? You did not explain and all I see is the connector going into the fabric of the seat. Would be nice for a clearer explanation of that. Otherwise, thanks for the help.
She latched them to the area in the seats that's built into each car as a feature. Only newer cars have the feature which is a huge benefit to this base. It should look like a slit in the seat material on each side and have a small metal rod that it would hook onto.
Only if your car has latch anchors in the middle that are the same width apart as those on the side seats. Chicco only allows the use of latch anchors that are 11 inches apart. Any farther than that and it's not safe to install in that seat. The best and safest place to install the base is where you get the best fit!
Watching this video, it only took 3 minutes to install properly. Just remember, only newer cars have the seat latch feature for the base. Look for a slit in the seat material and clip to the meal cross rod.
I’m sure this goes without saying.. however, I’d like to point out that you should make sure your vehicle is on somewhat level ground before adjusting the seat for level. Notice that her car is on an incline, should’ve been done on a more level surface.

Again
Thank you very much for your videos.
This was helpful. I'm a first time father and watched this for the baby seat that will go in my truck. Thank you.
Thank you so much I am right now at the hospital parking lot watching this video amd stalling the car seat as it is time to take baby home.

8 years later and this video was more better then chicco is video. Just set up my baby’s car seat.

I second this comment. Manufacturer's book and video didn't illustrate that key point! Thank you.
Thank you - 5 weeks early and wasn't expecting to install the car seat for another 2 weeks
GurnakeDaSnakeMon thank you so mich

Thanks, you made it real easy to follow instructions and get it done right!
This was super helpful! I'm due in less than two weeks and finally know that we installed the carseat incorrectly.
Extremely useful!! Thank you for making this video!
Excellent instructions. So happy to have this online!
Awesome informational video. Thank you so much for making it.
this baby sit does not use the car seat belts at all? thank you for the video I was just wondering about that.
it does. that's a different video. most, if not all, cars have LATCH connectors though.
Can I do the car seat belt even when using the anchors?
Thanks for this. These were the exact steps I was missing. Thumbs up!
This was super helpful! Luckily, my car has the latch connectors so installation was a breeze. If not, your other video using the seat belts was super helpful too if we decide to place the carseat on the middle seat! :)
Thank you. You’re the real mvp getting my babies from the NICU tonight one less thing to worry about.
Thank you so much for this quick, informative video! This should come with the manual! :)
Superbly explained. Can Chicco 30 be fitted in Honda Accord 2011 model middle seat using LATCH method
Awesome video with clear instructions - thank you for posting!
Thank you! This answered all of my questions!
Truly a great tutorial, thank you!! I couldn't help but laugh at some of the posturing/positioning as I'm 5'11" and will be working in a Nissan Rogue and it won't look like that for me 😭😂

Thank you
If the seats coming loose that's not a safe install so use the latch
This video is amazing. Thank you so much!
Girl thank you I did not know how to take it off
Thanks so much, I was trying to use the backseat seatbelts and it just was not tightening properly until you showed me how to use the latch, thanks for a great tutorial!!👍🏽😁
Thank you very much! It is super helpful! 😊
Thanks! Made installation super easy!
Great video! You're a life saver, literally.

ISOFIX

There are pieces of metal inside the vehicle's seat that the LATCH connectors grab onto.
Thank you for this video! Very clear.
Where are you connecting the latches to? That's the only part that people need this video for...
This was very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks for your help
What are we connecting the LATCH connectors to? Something within the seat?
There are anchors in the seat. Look for her video on the LATCH system.
This is extremely helpful. Thank you!
Thanks Dr Baer!
THE BEST Thanks you !!!!
Our Toyota Sienna has only 1 latch for the middle seat
Excellent explanation, thank you!
simple & straight forward!
Very helpful!
Thank you, it was great help
should I install the carseat in the middle?
Only if your car has latch anchors in the middle that are the same width apart as those on the side seats. Chicco only allows the use of latch anchors that are 11 inches apart. Beckah Mataronas you can still install in the middle with the seat belt if the latch connections are too far apart
Thanks, very detailed instructions!
Gracias me ayudo mucho
Great tutorial!
You never mention or show what you attach the lower anchors to.
This was very helpful, thank you. Also, you look like Linda Cardellini. :)
Great Explanation ThankYou!
Watching this video, it only took 3 minutes to install properly. Just remember, only newer cars have the seat latch feature for the base. Look for a slit in the seat material and clip to the meal cross rod.
Thank you, very useful!
Great thanks
My latch belts aren’t long enough to reach the anchor points in my 2012 Ford Fusion SE . How am I supposed to do this I’m a first time father
very helpful!
It wont click in the anchors
Thank you for
This!
Amazing. thank you
Isn't this supposed to be rear facing? fro safety is it better to be behind a seat or in the middle?
Enass AlRefaei this is rear facing. Once the carrier is connected to the base. It only will work as rear facing
very helpful
amazing tips! :D
excellent!
Thank you so much
such a NY accent lol. Great video :) Thanks.
Thanks momma !

Thank you ma'am!
thank you!!
me too
Whoever downvoted this is an absolute mongrel 😂
very helpful. did seem like you were irritated though
That was boss
Watching this because the base came with NO MANUAL in the box.
From a dumb dad, thank you lol
I’ve been pronouncing it cheeko this entire time.
I don't think we need a doctor just to explain how to connect a car seat base.
You lost me when you click the anchor to the cress of the seat. Like my car have nothing there to latch too sooooooo
Nice toes mama
Thank you so much! One of the best installation videos I have seen so far!
Great work!
