@@imezxdchannelnah, we still need accidental Portuguese when someone tries to speak Spanish and accidental Italian when someone uses a Balkan language... Yeah, when I visited Italy years ago I got pretty far as a Spanish speaker. Just had to add some local vocabulary is all. Plus, plenty of the locals understood some Spanish as well
Correct. Italian, Spanish & Portuguese are similar enough that if you speak one of them, you can roughly communicate with people that speak only the others. It won't be quick or efficient though.
@@edelweissurya6409 I asked an indonesian guy in a comment once and he+other indonesians aggressively insisted that it's not true. They claimed that the languages are completely different but I wouldn't know since I speak none of them....... so to answer your question; I have no idea.
Spanish: Uno, dos, tres, cuatro... Italian: Uno, due, tre, quattro... Very similar indeed. Latin languages are so similar that I, Portuguese speaking person, can travel and communicate through Italy without studying the language. Of course I won't be having any meaningful or heartfelt conversations, but basic communication is possible.
My native language is Spanish but if you spoke to me (slowly) in Italian, I could more or less understand. The same is true the other way. Basically 'uno dos tres' would be properly understood in Italy by Italians. It counts. IT COUNTS..... or at least it was closer than last time.
Yeah, I speak both and for the most part they're pretty similar when it comes to everyday conversation. I sometimes joke with my friends speaking that way because they find 'understanding' a language they don't talk really cool
Every time I saw Un Dos Tres... It instantly reminds me of Maria lol Such a childhood memories song I dont know the lyric, I sang it wrong, but the melody still remains
8? Also you probably know some italian words but with either a twisted meaning, pronunciation or spelling compared to their origin. Off the top of my head i'd say you probably know -Bimbo (it translates to kid, specifically little boy, but for some reason it's used for dumb hoes in english) -Capisci/capisce (capiche i believe, and it translates to "understand") -Bravo (mostly accurate meaning and pronunciation, "well done" or "good" when referring to a male person, for female it would be brava) There's definitely more but these are probably the most common ones.
