Sick! Man, I really need to get out to your neck of the woods and follow some locals around. Mad River Glen looks like Mt Bohemia Michigan...only bigger. I love the tight trees, shoulder width cliff entrances, and endless keyholes. Nothing is more fun than having to pick which door to open when skiing a new mountain....Exploring at it’s finest. How many days, on an average year, do you guys get like this? I’ve seen my fair share of “Mad River Powder Day” videos and all I hear is edges scratching ice and pellets hitting the camera lense. Then I see edits like this that make me want to get in my car and road trip that direction for a week. Well done gentlemen.
Mad River Glen is one of the best ski mountains on the East Coast no doubt. That being said, when the conditions are bad, they can be really bad. They have limited snowmaking and rely mostly on Mother Nature. But if you hit on the right day, you'll have one of the best days on skis you've ever had! Like you said, wicked tight trees, gnarly cliffs, and tons of stash spots. There's only a handful of the good days a year - but when it's on, it's on.
