Building an Entranceway for the Abandoned Coach House

Building a Porch for the Coach House / Barn Conversion.
I got this wooden door off eBay for £150.00, the only snag is it had been outside for quite some time so needed a bit of TLC but what a bargain!
The reclaimed Timber is an old joist I removed from the building and I'm using threaded bar & resin anchor to fix the door into as I don't want to show any fixings onto the exposed brick.

Wow, what progress! At 1st I thought the new door was to replace the outside door & I was aghast, lol. Those hand blown windows are practically irreplaceable. But I can certainly see why you’d need a vestibule as they can’t hold much if any heat in the house. Well done with all the figuring what you need for insulation & doubling up to get the results you want. Looking forward to your next video, thanks for taking us along!

Oh no, I couldn’t replace those doors. I was very lucky and managed to get them from a Village Hall when they were being replaced with PVC and it’s true, they aren’t a great blocker of noise & sound. Look to sharing the next, Max

Wow! That er, vestibule will soon need something to hang coats on and to put boots or whatever when you transition from outside to inside. Civilised like!!
