Hi Rachel! The high frequency wand is to be used dry, after you cleanse and tone and the skin is totally dry. In esthetics school, we tied a piece of gauze around the tip of the wand so it can glide on your skin. I find this to be a pain, so I use a gauze sheet mask instead. That way you can easily glide the wand over your skin. Another tip is that you are supposed to always keep a point of contact with the wand. Before you even turn the wand on, keep a finger on the glass anode, then turn it on. When you come into contact with the face/body you release your finger from the wand. The wand can come with either neon or argon gas. Neon gas is purple and great for treating acne and oily skin. Argon gas is red and is used for anti-aging benefits. When you have a pimple you want to target, slightly bounce the wand over the pimple, but still keeping the wand close to the skin, do not pull it more than 1/4 in. (approx.) from the surface of the skin. This technique is called "Sparking" and targets the bacteria killing benefit of the argon gas. If you lift the wand too far off your skin you can actually burn it. Hope this helps!!
The buffalo chicken dip: 1/4 cup cottage cheese, blended. ~ 1 chicken breast, shredded. Mix in (a little?) Ranch seasoning and hot sauce. Top with grated (cheddar) cheese. Microwave until melty. Top with sliced green onion. Eat with tortilla chips.
3:45 pro tip I found that the wand works better if you wrap a small gauze around it. It helps glide on the skin without pulling. I live using it on blemishes, it dries them out fast❤
I’m laughing at the skin wand. My dad’s aunt was a beauty shop operator in 1905 and had a machine like this. It used electricity to excite gases that were in the blown glass tubes much like neon lights work. They glowed purple and buzzed and caused tingling. It had the same shapes and were used on the scalp (comb shape) and skin. My brother still has that machine and it still works. Nothing is new under the sun. 😂
Hi the electrical face tool needs water based cream. If you use moisturizer with oil it won’t work. Oil doesn’t conduct electricity I have it and you can feel it.
@@VictoriaBC610 in my country it often used as medical equipment. As this thing is basically an electric stick, no way you use it on wet skin. Some doctors even use talk or something to make skin more dry. Otherwise you really can damage yourself. Idk why it's written in your instruction to use oil.
hi rach, with the high frequency, its little micro currents that smells like oxygen that comes through the glass wand, do not go over the face more than once because it will burn your skin, you can hear it but you shouldn't feel a hot sensation, it should be a comfortable feeling gliding on the skin
As an Esthetician watching people use skincare“ gadgets” with zero knowledge of how to use them properly is both amusing and alarming at times. There are a lot of videos, put out there by aestheticians and dermatologists that can show you the proper way to use these gadgets.
Esti here too, totally agree. I'm a nail diy'er so really I have no room to talk, but I at least watch a ton of videos before I jump into things so I have basic knowledge of the risks and proper technique.
I think she's mentioned in one of her previous videos that she also doesn't like to read instructions to figure out how user-friendly certain products are, but I do agree that sometimes it's better safe than sorry.
I agree ! I also learned how to use these in school and I was really frustrated seeing her use it haha. I guess you really should read the instructions sometimes for certain things because you really need them !
Your wand should be used dry. You should be able the plug in and use the wand right away. Also yiu should see some colour on the wand once you apply on the skin and your hair. You may need to turn it a bit higher. For pimples , pulse the wand up and down on the pimple a few times. Aldo you can watch a few videos on TH-cam on how to use it. It's an amazing product to use, you well will see a difference within a weeks time if not before. Enjoy it ❤
@benmerveaskin hi, this is amazing for acne and acne discoloration. Helps with oxygen in the skin, helps tighten the skin. I can't remember but I think it also helps with collagen production in the skin. As for the scalp, if you get some breakouts it helps a lot and helps with hair growth.
The nyx brow pencil is nice it's cheap the only thing I don't like about it is it's VRY soft I have to rebuy them often because after sharpening once half the pencil is gone
For the high frequency, its best to wrap gauze over the wand. Before turning the machine on, as you're holding the base, have the index finger resting on the wand to ground it then once you place the mushroom head to your skin release the index finger and move around the face, but please do not lift up the head and do tapping motion, as we were told it can cause damage to skin. And when you're done, place finger back to the wand to ground it again then turn off the machine. Here are some contraindications, do not use high frequency if you're pregnant, have pacemaker. You can use it on face if theres piercing but make sure it 1 to 2 inches away around ear rings or nose ring.
The electric face thingy is such an old idea, my dad had something very similar from the 1950s that we donated to a museum of electricity! As for the giant pimple have you come across Zitsticka Killa Microdart pimple patches, they inject hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, niacinamide, and oligopeptide-76 into the pimple. They are amazing at killing the pimples that spend a week hurting your face & then two further weeks ruining your skin. They are crazy expensive, but I have found them totally worth it as they’ve never failed me.
I think the lashes and makeup looked amazing on you. When you popped in last video while you were editing and obviously after filming this video your lashes and makeup where the first thing I noticed. I loved them both
I’ve used a high frequency wand on those under the skin super painful acne spots and it works so well! The farther away you hold the wand from your skin (like mm to a cm), deeper it goes and you can see the light. I’ve never used it on my whole face but I will “Pulse” the wand over a spot about 5 times, then break for a few seconds, for maybe 4 rounds. The spot will be noticeable less painful in the morning (if I do it at night). I continue every 24h until it’s gone.
I think the lashes were bothering you due to the arch of your brow was different from the right brow, when you set the one brow you pulled a deeper arch but the other brow wasn’t as high so that changed the eye lid and brow space which then gave you the illusion that your lashes didn’t look the same. But ocd here so fully understand! You look great with or without makeup!
I love your channel! You feel like a buddy telling me about things you have tried. And now i give back to that buddy relationship. I have all the kopari sun products. I really enjoy them normally. But i have noticed everytime i do something like go to a theme park for a weekend visit (kings island in ohio) my chest gets red and possibly burnt with almost blistery feelings. I guess it could be irritation alone, but it also dries out the crook off my neck to the point of having a tight dry patch. I dont know if it is an irritation or a burning issue. It has happened the last 3 times ive gone. I still love kopari and my less fragile skin areas (arms and legs etc.) Have no issue but i know you have sensitive skin and wanted to let you know
I think ur lashes look good. I know the struggle on yourself u can see every difference but from my perspective they look awesome. It’s making me want to try them out I’m not a false lash person at all but u may have sold me on at least trying those self adhesive ones.
I really liked the lashes, but I'm with you, I just cannot wear them. I don't like the way they look on my eyes in the same way you do, so I get it! Your skin looked gorgeous!! Maybe with a luminous blush and a dewy setting spray (I love the Catrice Illuminating setting spray!) I live in the hot south, US, and this foundation would work so well here!
I haven’t worn false lashes since my wedding 8 years ago 😂 if I needed to wear false lashes for some reason in the future, self adhesive would be amazing. I have had them lifted and tinted once since then. That was magical.
Hey rach...make sure you are putting the glass inserts in right... i have to push really hard to get my electrical face tool to glow. Put your finger on the end of the glass tube before you turn it on... keep your finger on it while you slowly increase the power. When you are pushing the inserts down into the wand...do it from the base of the glass tube and be careful not to break it. You should be able to feel something...also you should be able to smell it. It has a particular smell when you use it.
