What if there was an estate planning law firm that would be there for your family when you can’t be? Is it possible that a law firm can take care of your family after you die or become disabled?
    Yes!
Here at Legacy Planning Law Group, this is our purpose and mission. This is why we get up in the morning as a team. This is why we exist as an elder law and estate planning law firm.

Thank you for the information. I watched several other videos before yours. All of them brushed on the topic of a qualifying dependent. But, you actually went in depth about non-qualified & exceptions. Hopefully, the same rules apply to my state (AZ). Thanks again, Theresa

I have provided more than half my younger brother and my mothers support for the last 10 years. My brother now has his own job and makes too much for me claim him, but I was told last year that I’m not allowed to claim my mom unless she is on disability. I also made $53,000 that year which caused me to owe.

My situation is exactly the same. My mother moved in permanently Dec, 2015. My brother moved in Jan, 2017. 2/3 of my income goes to Household bills. I think, I should have been claiming Head of Household. But tax lady said I don't make enough. 😢 No relief for caregivers.

Crazy you only get $500 per dependent returned for a whole year of care, we usually spent way more than that a year.

Very informative. Very helpful. It also directly relates to changes that will be happening to my family this year. I may very well give you a call

If my parent meets all that criteria and I have paid more than half of her income, does that affect my mom's other state services, like CalFresh (food stamps) and IHSS (State Home Health Aide)?? I do know that it does not affect her MediCal (MediAide). Also, If I claim her I'm concerned that these State Services might count my income as hers.

The next one of these you should discuss how *most* parents have retirement income but they are still not paying over 50% of their living expenses. Maybe discuss how costs to non-allopathic doctors are not covered by insurance...

Yeah, it's crazy that they require medical services to be provided by actual medical professionals.

@@ChainsawChristmas What is crazy is the number of human beings who have yet to figure out that the cult controls the medical industry. Maybe they'll come around. The stupid people should probably keep taking their pharmadope though - cold turkey will cause manic behavior if you're on SSRIs.

Hi! My parents pass all the tests to be claimed as my dependent, but they filed tax jointly in 2022 just to get a formal document to apply Medi-Cal, they have ZERO income on tax return form. As I am e-filing with TurboTax, I keep getting reject because the online system kept saying their SSN is matching a spouse and will not let me claim them. Is this normal? or Is there a way to solve this issue? Thank you!
