I’m 40 years old, I played the original in 1997 when it was new. It quickly became one of my favorite titles ever. To see this game being remade into a trilogy on modern hardware is absolutely mind boggling and awesome and a total trip to have witnessed. I’ve been gaming since Atari 2600, watching it evolve to what it is today and having grown up alongside it, has been incredible to say the least. I’ve literally seen it all and I’m not done yet 😎

There is an interview with Nomura on the playstation blog released yesterday where he is pretty transparent about a lot of game content (including where it ends), he literally confirms the date scene WILL be in the game.
The attention to detail looks amazing. Seeing the different chocobo traversal methods, the blue/green one flying is interesting, wonder what the gold will be like!
Didn't in the original the gold chocobo had all the abilities of the other ones and had long distance water running that's how you got to the island to get the summon "Knights of the Round" been so long ago idk. I remember reseting my PS before it saved over and over again during breeding to get the Golden one lol😅😂

Love how the trailers are slowly progressing throughout the game. First one was about Nibelheim flashback, second was basic open world and Mythril Mine, and now we’re all the way up to Junon, Cosmo Canyon, and even the return to Nibelheim
Everything about this trailer is perfection. From the original story content, to the extras like Gold Saucer and chocobo traversal. Even the timing of the release date announcement is perfect only just after Ever Crisis became available!

The first part was cool, but it felt like playing an extended gameplay trailer. THIS looks like everything I imagined when I first heard FF7 was being remade. I really hope it's as good as it looks in this trailer, if they included so much to be teased, I can't imagine how much is actually in part 2 :O
Gees, It just gets better and better. After playing the first remake I'm excited for this one. It's such a good feeling to revisit the past back from ps1 many years ago, now into the new gen gaming of the remake. This is unreal, can't wait to hear the music, get more lore, see what new stuff to use....I'm so ready!!
It is truly special that they are giving this to us. I always hated when people complained about part 1 only being a small portion of the game. It was clear from the first moment it was conceived that it would be a MASSSSSSIVE undertaking for that team. They have to give it the time and care and attention it deserves or it could have literally ended the team making it. They delivered with part 1 in spades, and this looks to be absolutely godlike. I am truly speechless after seeing it. And I got misty eyed

This is still one of the best trailers for a video game I have ever seen... probably top 5. And I was a teenager when the original came out... those TV commercials were some of the most exciting things I had ever seen back then. This matches that excitement.

Cid might be too late in the game to be playable, similar to how they handled RedXIII I think he'd probably just be a guest in fights after you see him and he'll be fully playable in the final entry.

I think they are going with a split timeline. So the main story will still be there but it'll crossover at some point. Basically the last game caused a ripple that allowed the timeline where Zack lives.

Hojo mentions "your brothers are having a get together down there" Hojo was at Northern Crater During Reunion, but later in the trailer we see clones in what appears to be Mideel and going into a structure which could be the Temple of the Ancients. But in OG, Hojo was only ever at the crater. Something to think about

I played and still own the original PlayStation copy from 1997 in mint condition. Hard case and instruction manual are perfect! I just turned the big 50 this year and I cant wait to get part 2 rebirth to keep this outstanding game going!

If this game looks as good as this trailer, there will definitely be a third game to finish the trilogy. THIS looks like the Final Fantasy VII remake that part 1 was a trailer for. Everything in this trailer is amazing🎉. And I saw Vincent and My bad boy Rufus and I was really waiting for that. There is actually one thing more I wish we got to see, is if we going to get a boss fight with Tseng I mean that will be awesome. I know that never happened in the original but after fighting both Reno and Rude in the remake I wish we could have this too.
So hype! Being someone who’s favorite series is FF7 it feels like a dream to see this. I think this world merge Sephiroth mentioned is what caught Genesis’ attention and awoke him in DoC secret ending.

Didn't in the original the gold chocobo had all the abilities of the other ones and had long distance water running that's how you got to the island to get the summon "Knights of the Round" been so long ago idk. I remember reseting my PS before it saved over and over again during breeding to get the Golden one lol😅😂

Everything about this trailer is perfection. From the original story content, to the extras like Gold Saucer and chocobo traversal. Even the timing of the release date announcement is perfect only just after Ever Crisis became available!

It's such a good feeling to revisit the past back from ps1 many years ago, now into the new gen gaming of the remake. It is truly special that they are giving this to us. I always hated when people complained about part 1 only being a small portion of the game. It was clear from the first moment it was conceived that it would be a MASSSSSSIVE undertaking for that team. They have to give it the time and care and attention it deserves or it could have literally ended the team making it. They delivered with part 1 in spades, and this looks to be absolutely godlike. I am truly speechless after seeing it. And I got misty eyed

This is still one of the best trailers for a video game I have ever seen... probably top 5. And I was a teenager when the original came out... those TV commercials were some of the most exciting things I had ever seen back then. This matches that excitement.

I think they are going with a split timeline. So the main story will still be there but it'll crossover at some point. Basically the last game caused a ripple that allowed the timeline where Zack lives.

Hojo mentions "your brothers are having a get together down there" Hojo was at Northern Crater During Reunion, but later in the trailer we see clones in what appears to be Mideel and going into a structure which could be the Temple of the Ancients. But in OG, Hojo was only ever at the crater. Something to think about

I played and still own the original PlayStation copy from 1997 in mint condition. Hard case and instruction manual are perfect! I just turned the big 50 this year and I cant wait to get part 2 rebirth to keep this outstanding game going!

This one looks, with all my respect, one million times better than the first chapter of the remake, and so much faithfull to the original, I can't believe how much they've included in this one, having in mind this is rumoured to be a "three part remake" this was an amazing trailer filled with what we wanted to see, I honestly think this is one of the best Final Fantasy trailers I've watched in years, and I friggin' loved the FFXVI ones.
