After robbing the IT shop, he should have immediately left for Batam and sold off the computers there. It'd be harder to track the computers. Plus, they wouldn't have known his identity at that time, so they can't search for him specifically. Also, he can lie low in Batam for a while, before returning to Singapore to rob.
Also, why rob around the same area when you can rob other places? It just makes it easier for the police to nab you while you're on the job.
Dang, I think my new favourite hobby is pointing out the flaws in the criminal's modus operandis in crimewatch...I mean, some of these criminals are just plain dumb.
