This is bullshit. Those 2 guys stole motorbikes and got such a heavy punishment. In another case, there was 2 female Iphone scamer who conned people of over $100 000 dollars and their punishment was 10 months. Comparing both cases, the total cost of all the motorbike stolen doesn't even add up to the amount the scammers conned. Furthermore, the motorbikes were in the end recovered but the scammed money wasn't. One of the scammers even had past convictions. What an unfair penalty!
SGhostHunter no the scammer with previous conviction was given 6 years' corrective training,a regime which offers no early release for good behaviour.
I admire the Singapore police. They are better in solving crimes than those. In my country the USA.

@sparkflyful there are syndicates that sell stole motorcbikes to malaysia (in pieces as scraps), piece up and sold them to malaysian who commuter to singapore for works. So these guys are definitely professional thieves that grew wilful. When orders come, they will be put to work again. each year hundreds are stolen here. Never end.

Not a thief as i have my own vehicle but when i was younger i used to be friends with vehicle thieves. All you need to do is make a master key, a fake spare plate number, throw away the iu unit, know the erp timings so you don’t go out, different coverset, roadblock locations etc We’ve even tried “stealing”each other’s bikes for fun
