Your cabinets are probably Alder rather than Maple, and certainly not Oak. Beautiful Trek.

@@TriggerTravels Alder is a softer and lighter "hardwood" native to the Northwest where these were made. It resembles clear Maple. The Safari brochures prominently featured the Alder cabinetry.
