I've always been impressed by how 90s Konami always gave an honest shot at pulling in actual bad guys from the shows they licensed for video games, and Tiny Toons was no exception - and they didn't always just go with the obvious big bads. Silas Wonder and his two minions make up the mid-boss of the train section, and Dr. Gene Splicer (he's the guy running the machine that's the actual target during the Stage 3 boss), who only had a single major appearance and a few cameos, shows up in SEVERAL of their games as a boss - he's even a recurring one in the Genesis game to boot.
@@edwardgaines6561 Agreed, Slash (and the whole fourth stage in the Technodrome, which wasn't present in the arcade port) was a cool addition. Sure, he was easily one of the hardest bosses in the game if not THE hardest, but hey, sometimes that's the price you pay for a little authenticity. ;3
Haven't watched Tiny Toons in almost 30 years and it didn't even occur to me that the mini-boss on the train was a character from the show - given the setting of the Wild West episode, as a kid I thought he was an Abe Lincoln impostor LOL The guy appears in just one episode early in the show's run and he's given the spotlight here. Konami definitely does its homework!
Hampton:Dizzy is destroying the kitchen. If we don't stop him, there won't be anything for lunch!!! Also Hampton: Dizzy is a big eater. Let's give him something to eat!!!
Ha, you and me both! It's funny, because they might as well be screaming out EXACTLY what you need to do immediately before the fight starts, and apparently I wasn't the only one who didn't make the connection for a while. Bein' a kid!
@@carlosaugusto9821 Definitely. My dad got us super ghosts and goblins. Not only was it scary for me, but we couldn't even get past the first level 😄😄😱
Konami sure got a lot of mileage out of the _Tiny Toons_ franchise! Even the music is on par with Looney Tunes. Too bad it died after 16-bit era ended.
Yikes. I never even played this game but between the awkward way of attacking and the even more awkward hit detection, this must have been a pain in the rear. The rail cart escapes once it hits 88 MPH, huh? Nice little Zemekis Easter Egg. :P

YOu didnt play the football stage? Is it impossible to take no damage? Wrong! I saw one clip where dude ran that ball all the way through with out one hit! The computer was trying its best to ramp it up but dude was off the chain!
There are two ways of attack in the game, either a somersault kick with the attack button or a dash jump, I guess crouching while dashing would result in a slide that also counts as an attack. Also, while performing those attacks, Buster was pretty much invincible against most contact damage.
MajinZarak ah okay. like i felt like so many things should have made contact with Buster but they didnt. and then when buster did his attacks it felt like it shouldnt have lol

Konami did their homework. They even put in Slash from SNES _Turtles In Time_ port.

@@YukaTakeuchiFan Not to mention Bebop & Rocksteady being added too. Bless those times indeed!

Beating this game back in the day with no internet help was an accomplishment. It was hard!
Duck Vader theme is such an awesome soundtrack
Oh wow! I have such happy childhood memories playing this game! 💓
Me too
😢 God I miss playing this game this is a lot of fun well except for the train It scared me terribly when I was a kid maybe it was the whistle
I remember playing this game in childhood and I really liked it.
Oh my gosh, my entire childhood just flashbacked while watching this video
This game reminds me how wornderful my childhood was. Thanks man.

9:38 88 MPH and WOOSH! dat Back to the Future reference
And the train’s boiler explodes after it hits 2000
Remember back then when Konami made good games?
Konami... What the hell just happened?!
Konami is bad when he going to his PESt games
Or games in general instead of canceling games that would have been good.
I remember never being able to get past dizzy when I was like 6 or 7.
No idea how developers thought little kids could beat these games
Ha, you and me both! It's funny, because they might as well be screaming out EXACTLY what you need to do immediately before the fight starts, and apparently I wasn't the only one who didn't make the connection for a while. Bein' a kid!
Was about 10-11 yo back then. I could beat this game easily.
90s game design... That's far from the worst cases of difficulty in those "kids games".
@@carlosaugusto9821 Definitely. My dad got us super ghosts and goblins. Not only was it scary for me, but we couldn't even get past the first level 😄😄😱
Cheap design.
The football stage was my favorite.
I remember this game now that's some childhood memories right there
This was a great game. Would rent it all the time.
A cool lil game right here. Bunch of memories on this one!
There needs to be a remastered version of this game with voice actors.
Jesus that Dizzy battle...
15:24 Sounds like the unused Game Over theme from Mickey Mania
The final boss music is great !
If this game ever gets remade, or made into a fan game, I can see Babs and Fifi being playable.
Nice Back to the Future reference

The Way Buster Runs, He'd Give Sonic the Hedgehog a Run for his Money!!!
Great variety in mechanics! Really creatively made, especially for its time.
Great memories!! thx for the upload!
This game pretty unforgiving considering who it was intended for
I finished it in a week when I was a child. Not that hard.
This was the first game I ever finished in Hard Mode.
Nostalgia is killing me
Remember when Konami made actual games? :(
@ZM Dumpbox Not just Tiny Toons games, but also Ninja Turtles, Castlevania, Contra, and Rocket Knight Adventures.
This game is so gimmicky, each stage and boss has unique mechanics and flows, this brings back so many good memories
Yikes. I never even played this game but between the awkward way of attacking and the even more awkward hit detection, this must have been a pain in the rear.
