You get used to it, I promise x I’ve been driving for 7 months, still a learner as I should have taken my test by now it was meant to be april, now booked for July, but if you stall, just don’t pay attention to the people behind you and take it slow and do it at your own pace, don’t rush cos you’ll just screw it up repeatedly, cos you aren’t concentrating on the clutch etc

I remember when i was learning to drive and I was on a busy roundabout on a hill and stalled. On rush hour time in London. People in their cars behind me going mad and making it even worse for me. My driving instructor helped me with the clutch control. I passed now, but don't take it to heart about people behind you in their cars pushing their horn and being dicks. They once was a learner and wasn't born with a driving licence.

I agree, it's super hard not to notice them at first, especially in traffic like this. It's okay if it's a long fast road and they wanna overtake, I'm just moving to the right (we drive on the right here) and sometimes, even though I have my license I go to the industrial area which is empty during the weekends and I train on sudden starts. This way I feel more comfortable with it

6:35 god I remember being terrified about stalling in this situation and when it happend I wanted to do everything in a hurry so I stalled again. I thought, never going to learn how to drive cuz of this kind of things, but I learned 1 thing about this. Guys just try to relax and don't care about the horns and stuff, do it slowly once you'll get the pace and you'll do it faster and better!

I'd give you some advice for stalling. When your instructor teaches you he/she wants you to use the least gas possible because they are cheap bastards and this is prone to stalling. But on the test fucking rev that shit like crazy and you would never stall.

I studied the heck out of all the Tell Me questions, and on my test I was asked about the head restraint and I had no clue how to explain it.
I feel for her, the people honking (beyond the warning honk about rolling back) are so inconsiderate. It says Learner!
Even on my lessons, I gave extra space to other Learners, because you never know how new they are, so them stalling should be assumed.
A week before my test, the instructor's car's clutch broke, so he got a new one which was shorter. I hadn't stalled more than 3 times in like 30 lessons, but the new clutch made me stall 2 times, so he took me to the steepest hill, and made me practise starting from a parked position.

The horn is to make other drivers aware of you, so if someone’s rolling back towards you you honk to make sure they know there’s people behind it’s not inconsiderate to make sure people know you’re there when they’re rolling backwards and could do some damage to your car

@@MerlinBorghuis To be honest holding the brake on a hill and then trying to jump to the accelerator before you start to roll back makes it incredibly easy to stall or to over rev the car to hell, especially for new drivers, there's really only two reliable options when it comes to hills, either you use the handbrake and apply gas then get biting point and release handbrake or balance on the accelerator and the clutch. The latter option is dodgy on your clutch but is probably better then jumping from the brake to the accelerator.

Good luck! You both have got this and i believe in you! 👍
I had my test last year in October, and i remember an entire week prior to my test i was watching driving videos after videos. Specifically, Chris from World Driving and Advanced Driving School. They really help get the brain focused in what you wanna achieve. So be sure to watch a lot!
A HUGE tip i will give you is to understand the various serious faults that there are. Lane discipline, especially on roundabouts, observations, lack of control, basically anything that causes your car to cause other road cars to swerve or slow down. In other words "be good", carry yourself and don't affect others. If you know what the serious faults are, then you are better equipped to avoid them.
Signal at around the correct time, check mirrors regularly, just treat it exactly like a normal lesson, it'll be over before you know it. If your test does go through. I'm just worried that it's been a while since you've driven, and for a learner a big break like that isn't good at all. I bought my car 7 months after passing, hadn't been driving at all in that 7 month period, and it definitely took me a several hours of driving to get back into it. However all in all, if your tests go through then i hope you get the practice you need! Good luck! 😊
