    It happens. Just like his act on his home run it’s all part of the game. Personally I don’t think it was intentional it’s just two teams after a win and are huge rivalry magnified by two cities in the same state that don’t like each other. It’s over move on.

      Didn't used to be part of the game, but with social media and the internet, it is now. Just stop with the histrionics...hit the home run, circle the bases and get back in the dugout and all the hoo-hah would be eliminated.     For everyone saying Altulve and Bregman don't pimp hr's and act "professional", people forget the young Astros were the originators of all of this when they first started winning 7-8 years ago. They were the guys that made MLB more exciting and started livening dugouts up with celebrations etc..
    They're just used to it now and have won so much that they are just calmer these days. These Rangers have never been here, they are gonna have their fun.

      I’ve watched damn near every game Altuve and Bregman have played in an Astros uniform Neither of them have EVER done anything close to what Garcia did.
      If you’re talking about antics and having fun in the dugout, then yes, you are correct. Showing up the other team and having fun amongst your teammates are 2 totally different things.

    I went to the game on July 26 when the benches cleared in Houston, Alvarez got HBP, then Semien got HBP, then his next at bat Semien hit a home ran and said something to Maldonado, then Garcia hit a grand slam on top of the train tracks and stomped on home plate, and Semien was a base runner and again said something to Maldonado, then the en he’s cleared, Semien and Maldonado got ejected

      Abreu's whole demeanor after he hit Garcia tells all. No reaction, walks calmly off with no argument. Maldonado also looks at Abreu with a "payback done" look.

    Altuve got “chin music” earlier in the game and he hit the deck possibly saving the rest of his career, whereas Garcia, who had to know what was coming simply braced for impact, letting all his emotions get the better of him…not very smart, especially when you consider that he had done nothing to that point to get tossed. Is he a lightning rod or just easily manipulated?

    I love this whole scenario except for one thing.....I don't have a problem with guys pimping hr's but when you cross the line and overdo it, you get what you deserve & should expect it.....Particularly when you step on home plate the way he did....That's not where you pimp hr's, that's where you're being a clown and disrespecting.....If I'm the catcher/Astros you're never walking to home plate like that and getting away with it....ALSO, it was a DUMB and horrible time to do it on Abreu's part....Gotta wait until next year.

      I assume this comment was before we knew the aftermath. Now that we do i agree it did take Texas out of game 5 but woke up a monster and game 6 and 7 and that monster never went back to sleep. Ended up nicely for the Rangers. I think this was exactly what they needed.
