You read my mind, I was literally thinking when is the best time to go on a Disney cruise and I opened TH-cam to find your video going over this exact topic! Thank you!!
My sister and I are both teachers. We are taking our mom on a cruise as soon as we get out of school. Hoping it isn’t horrible, as the price was a little cheeper than later in the month.
Probably the worst time to go on a Caribbean cruise is when they are unable to dock at Castaway as planned. There is no way to plan for that. It can happen any time of the year and just depends on a lot of factors. DCL goes out of their way to do extra activities on the ship and sometimes will try another day if it is possible, but sometimes it isn't. The cruise is still fun and worth going, and ports are never garenteed, but that can definatly be a bummer. Also, bad weather can change plans. It stinks if it is so rainy or windy that activities like sail away party or fireworks have to be canceled. Again, there is no way to plan to avoid this, but if I had to pick a worst time to go, I'd say when the stars just don't quite align and activities you were looking forward to just don't work out.
You guys are lucky as you can cruise Disney any time of the year but here in Australia we have to travel to the US or wait until October. My fiancee and I were on the inaugural cruise from Sydney and it was our 1st Disney experience. Although it wasn't an official Halloween cruise everyone decorated their door with Halloween stuff including us. We also had trick or treating which was fun. Being an Aussie we don't celebrate Halloween but because it was Disney we did. Our next Disney cruise is on the 17th Nov from Melbourne.
With little people it’s hard to pull them out of school for a cruise……fall could be hurricanes- my Bermuda trip turned into Canada , no offense but to pay all that money for Canada was not my ideal vacation. Went in April and had to pay more for a flight and deal with delays with said little person…..cruise was great both times. Gonna try one in the summer because there aren’t a lot of options for school age little people.
If you go on the website of Disney cruise you can book the Disney treasure I checked and the maiden voyage is still up as I keep checking as I’m trying to work out how long it took for it to get sold out so if you like you can book that
I have booked for May 2025 back in February. Not sure what is currently available now but when I was researching cheaper dates were either in the months of late Jan-Feb, or late April - mid March. Hope that helps 😊
Because they don’t have Disney Cruises year round from San Diego. They did have some Halloween cruises from San Diego on the Wonder in the past but that ship is doing Australia and Hawaii during that time of year now. Hopefully in the future though as the fleet grows.
We have only cruised on DCL, but when we decided we wanted to do Alaska, we booked Viking. No children allowed.

To me, this is a trick. The worst time to Disney Cruise is when you’re not Disney, cruising and sitting at home watching TH-cam videos. lol
Haha fair point!
That sounds right to me😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaha!! Love it!
Our favorite time is Spring (March) through Fall (October) roughly
Thank you! ❤
You're welcome 😊

We really are. I love how you all decorated and enjoyed the holiday anyway!
Always a great time for a Disney Cruise

Every season, month, year is crowded and expensive with Disney.
Believe it or not there actually is times of years where it is significantly less people and or cheaper for cruises and for the parks
I be respectful for Disney Cruise line for Mickey my help
And during the summer, you have the hurricane season.
I forgot about marvel day at sea lol
My cruise is in 14 days to Lighthouse Point. Oh well 🤷♀️😂.
Haha, that’s a good reason though!
I want to see Disney Treasure and I have saved money

why are there no halloween on the high seas from San Diego
