    I was always confused about the concepts of consciousness and mind. After hearing swamijis beautiful explanation, I have clarity on consciousness. Thanks a lot swamiji. Real authority in Vedanta philosophy 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

      What would you now say your confusion was? I think a lot of us, as well as me, are thus confused. Often times I'm not even clear about what the confusion is. So what is the confusion that we have yet to see in ourselves? The confusion that we need to see as confusion in the moment that it arises in us and see it clearly as the confusion it is. Is the confusion that we take our concepts of consciousness to be the whole of our consciousness? What would you say your confusion was? Is it something like we don't see and sense the gap that Swami refers to after the 44:30 mark? "This gap which would arise between me and the contents of mind (including desires to do unwholesome things) should free me from those impulses. Usually why we do these things is we are overtaken by the mind (i.e. contents of consciousness). Our desires are so powerful; our fears and temptations, terros and temptations are so powerful they overpower (us). It is usually: 'I know it is wrong but I can't help it'. That is where I am being overtaken by the mind. (However there can be) this gap which opens up between me and the mind. This (gap) should actually help in gaining control over the lower instincts of the mind. (If we are familiar with this gap and can recognize it when we are in confusion) Higher mind then becomes energized. Knowing yourself to be beyond mind (beyond the contents of consciousness), to be the witness of the mind transcends the mind to take control of the mind and the senses. The best way to take control of the mind and the senses is to know that you are not the mind and the senses (i.e. the contents of consciousness)." So what have you seen about your confusion? Everyone's experience on these matters are a unique contribution that can help whoever reads it. Please take time to let us know. Thanks be and be well.

    Yes when it comes to mind as seen and i witness as seer it becomes vague. I know the ups and downs of my mind, it's emotions still it is not clearly known to me there is an element of uncertainty there, in knowing my mind.

    We are replete with commentaries on consciousness, mind and spiritual life but commentaries are just words, and you call this 'knowledge' and 'knowing', but what can knowledge, being a mere representation of what is, like a map of what is, KNOW anything? Does my map of London know London? OBVIOUSLY NOT. same too with the phenomena of our own consciousness WHICH IS THE ONLY GATEWAY TO THE REAL. NOBODY COULD DISPUTE THAT AND NONE OF THE PROMINENT TEACHERS EVER COULD. So what value has these word maps of consciousness and life in understanding the real thing, which can only, obviously, manifestly be understood through patient and uninfluenced observation? Not even infinite maps are useful in understanding the actual physical environment of the Earth, and same too with the self-understanding that all the great teachers agreed is the only route to freedom and truth, because YOU ARE THE ACTUAL TRUTH, and the ONLY truth it is possible to understand because you ARE your consciousness and everything else is a mere happening with in it. It is the only real which is the only thing we ever need to understand to reach truth, freedom, and the love that flows from it. But we are so infantile, so conditioned, so much like factory farm animals who believe they are living the life they were meant to lead, that we actually believe listening to verbal commentaries by idiots like this one is the same thing as the growth of you own understanding of life, which can only take place by observing and understanding YOURSELF, which is to say YOUR life, YOUR world, YOUR consciousness, YOUR reality.. Instead you listen to verbal diarrhoea for self-appointed experts in your reality who tell you what to do and how to behave and what attitude to adopt and what to think and how to meditate etc. This is manifestly light years from the observation and understanding of what you actually are in freedom, but they don't want you to be free. They want your attention and your time and probably also as much of your money as you can be persuaded to part with. And they call this enlightenment. It's exploitation. OBVIOUSLY. It does nothing but condition your brain and make you immature and delusionally dependent on a spiritual vampire who will never help you, only extract from you. Sorry but this is the truth.

      1. This is your perception.
      2. Before calling others "idiot" (quoting your words), you should look at your own achievements and accomplishments.
      3. Agreement and disagreement are a part of life and if you don't agree on any topic then move on, in stead of spitting the "verbal diarrhoea" (quoting your words) through your comment.
      4. If you think that you are qualified enough to call others "idiot", "self-appointed experts", "spiritual vampire" etc, why don't you come up with something revolutionary?
      5. Your comment reflects your immaturity, your impatient and frustrated mindset.

      How did you get this realisation? Are you born with it? Or you got it after listening to someone at least in the beginning stage? First you listen then you will reach the stage to analyse your own life, to do self introspection how to do mananam and nidhidhyasam. So they are guiding you how to do that, are you able to travel without map in an unknown place and reach the destination on time without missing it. These teachers are providing us with maps and it is our responsibility to use it to reach our destination. Even scriptures are only pointers to the truth and it is mentioned clearly in it

      @@jayasreen9787 I got all these realizations and more by hearing the one compassionate teacher of our lifetime, Jiddu Krishnamurti, who said, like the Buddha, DON'T FOLLOW. BECOME A LIGHT UNTO YOURSELF. And having heard and understood, I haveno external teacher, and it could NOT be more simple. It is awareness of what actually is in freedom. The brain learns only about what is in freedom, obviously, because otherwise it is learning what you are trying to enforce, not what actually is. When you understand this you stop trying to meditate and simply become aware of what is because that's all that is left to do. And therein lies true transformation. But if it's true transformation they won't sell this knowledge to you or profit in any way.

    • @zeroxox777
      @zeroxox777 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mridulpandey6646 Everything you say here shows your subservience to authority: you literally can't understand how to see what is as it is, which is imperative if you are ever to become a light unto yourself, which again is imperative for any truth seeking consciousness. The great teachers taught this. The evil spiritual vampires who tie your throat with a chain do not understand this, so you must fight free and see what is uninfluenced and then you will understand what I'm talking about and why it is the least arrogant thing to say in the world, because it is affirming that everyone's eyes see, not just the anointed few, the authorities. Fact.

      @@jayasreen9787 So how come this past 5,000 years of trying to guide people to see what only ever is has failed to make anybody at all free? Because this guidance is an imposition on your freedom and clarity, and in no way can unfreedom ever be a path to freedom. As Jiddu Krishnamurti said, freedom is at the beginning, which means no authority. Freedom cannot come out of unfreedom, so freedom must be at the beginning. The Buddha also said don't follow, become a light unto yourself, and you know all these messages yet still you believe you must follow. Why? Precisely because of all these two pence gurus who guide you. You just get sucked in by them out of your lack of self confidence and your gullibility. Be free of all teachers and already you've progressed more then you could possibly ever hope to progress with a teacher. I can speak about this stuff with confidence because I have done this and it pains me to see all those still in the grip of greedy spiritual vampires like this self-deluded fool.
