That looks damn pretty. Makes me remember when i first saw one of those in the Dawn of War series... sweet Jesus, my jaw dropped so hard and so fast, it just ripped through everything. Love those walking epitomes of awesomeness.
Amazing! The movement looks great, the mech itself looks great! Only thing that looks odd is the shell casings when they fall. They stay exactly where they fall. Like pouring pudding onto the ground. But that's a fairly small detail, next to the work you've done. Great job.

Wish that you never are condemned to such a fate of endless suffering, nightmares and hopelessness. To be crippled in a sarcophagus and fight in battles you have no attachment to with comrades most of whom you don’t know with little to no feeling of brotherhood and solidarity.
@@tunasandwich8049 I don't think life in a Casteferrum Dreadnought is too physically horrible due to the suppressants and combat drugs they're given, but it is really mundane. Now, being kept awake for too long can be torong and even painful. I know Leviathans are torture to be in.

Seeing how bulky this boy is makes me understand why a contemptor pattern, leviathan pattern, or telemon pattern dreadnought would be so much more effective

Not bad, one thing which has already been pointed out to you is that on that particular Mk of Dreadnaught the central sarcophagus is where the body of a fallen marine is interred after falling in battle, the marine is usually in a foetal position and naked bar the interfaces for connecting him to the dreadnaught. The Newer models released like the contemtor pattern etc with what looks like a space marine helm are not the actual marines head. Playing and reading 40K since the 80s
It looks like it could win a fair fight, but it also looks like it would easily lose an unfair fight. Like you could sneak up behind it and blow its hip or knee apart. Then just heat it gently with an induction coil until the inside parts are all cooked.
In fact, the Space Marine game had a Dreadnought DLC, so you could basically copy all those sounds, you could also use those foodsteps and engine sounds, they sounded very authentic.
I remember using 3ds max to model and animate in high school. I won a state competition and got 15th in the nation back in 2009 at the Skill USA comp in Kansas, Missouri. I knew this was 3ds max when I first laid eyes on it!
Those who become Dreadnaughts are Space Marines that for one reason or another have become crippled to the point where they no longer can battle, but wishes to continue to fight, when they do they get enshrined inside the dreadnaught, the thing gets wealded shut after they are entombed within, they are usually put inside a nutrient tank, i guess it might vary how much of their body gets submerged in that liquid depending on the cause of the entombment, but entombed they are, they cannot exit.
When sending grandpa to a rest home isn't grimdark enough.
