I am a mad man who sorted out this game for Wii U all those years ago, seeing it's potential even in all it's insanity, I tried to understand the developers vision and ideas so much and hated Ivan at first but now thinking he's really actually very unique with 80s traditional mucho type hero. I played the hell out of rock shot back in the day. And perhaps I was the only crazy one but seeing wanted dead for the first time I thought to myself, waittttt a minute I know thisss. And I'm so happy is the same people making this game.

First-timer on this channel. Solid video, though on the framerate section, I thought it was interesting that emulation wasn't mentioned. I thought this game was better and more polished than Wanted Dead.
Why have I kept my copy of Devil's Third still in shrink-wrap AND full-price playable copy downloaded to my WiiU Hard Drive? Because I make decisions. Not necessarily great ones, but decisions.
Literally checked how much this game was on ebay as you said Id never play it, and damn right I'll never play it. So weird how games no one wanted are always the ones that go for big money
Am I seriously the only one that has figured out that you can (gasp) kill the bats. Just use a rapid fire gun if you don't want to take any damage though melee and slower firing guns can still cut through a good chunk of them.
It's a shame this game was taken by Nintendo after it was already mostly fully developed and also made with Unreal Engine 3 (an engine that already mostly worked like trash on PS3 and 360 and then even worse on Wii U), because if the game was under Nintendo's management since the very beginning like Bayonetta 2, Fatal Frame 4/5 and Wonderful 101 were, it probably would have been at the very least decent and polished.
The gameplay looks like how I imagine the Metal Gear Solid franchise would’ve ended up if Konami had kept pumping out sequels after Kojima’s departure. Sold my Wii U many moons ago but I kinda wish I could give this a go…
I feel like this might be a much more enjoyable game if it's played on Cemu. It seems like one of the worst aspects of this game is the framerate and texture not loading in, but on an emulator that probably won't be an issue.
I was going to bring this up towards the end of the video but cut it out for the sake of brevity, but I have seen footage of it at fill 60fps 4K on cemu! Looks real nice!

I can't even finish the game because it crashes everytime on the Japanese town level right after Ivan shoots down the helicopter with a minigun. What a piece of junk! For what was actually playable of the game for me, I found it to be medicore, with some entertaining sections, it definitely wasn't offensively bad.
I absolutely loved this game. If another year of development would have fixed a lot of it's issues, I would have been happy to wait. That said, a year after the game released, the Wii U was in it's final death throws.
Fingers crossed that Wanted: Dead scratches that itch! No idea if they'd have the licence for this game anymore, and even if they did, if Soleil would now have it or where the rights from Valhalla Games would've been split off to

In General this game wasn’t that sooo bad.. but the control.. the camera and the framerate wasn’t on a nice level. This game came 1 year too early out
