When the jingle went on omg the memories of being little and flying is just crazy when your young and hearing this was just crazy. All the memories. So happy I was born right before the digital age because I was able to witness the pre modernization for a few years and by nature that’s so nostalgic
Yes, I remembered these inflight safety videos as a little kid! I would watch these over and over while traveling with my family. I just searched up old american airlines safety videos to give me a little bit of nostalgia.
This jingle is still being used for the 1-800 phone number. I was a travel agent and I always enjoyed hearing the intro whenever I called AA. I didn't realize that the intro on the phone was paying homage to the AA safety video.
I'm from Brazil and in January 2009 I traveled to America for the first time, I was only 9 years old at the time. My family and I flew with America Airlines and this was the safety video. This is so nostalgic man! It brings me such happy memories.
I'm 22. My father is working at AA as Tech for 23 years. I flew a lot with my family as a kid, and I remember we knew the Safety video by heart with my brother. It was a funny moment. Today I watched "Up In the Air" movie (starring George Clooney) and at the end, on the 10.000.000 miles flight, AA make an announcement starting with the old safety video music. I had such a nostalgic moment hearing this. I came to TH-cam trying to find the right video. And you're the only one who has posted it. So thank you sir.
I really enjoy watching this safety video. The catchy music and corporate scenes make American Airlines' video a success. The Boeing 767-300 video is the only one that mentions the name of the specific aircraft when explaining to look at the safety card in the seat back for information about the specific aircraft...look around 0:35-0:38.
Good memories of the old American Airlines, I will never forget when I fly with American Airlines before the livery be changed, THE OLD LIVERY WAS VERY, VERY, VERY MORE GOOD
Great Video. That jingle will be forever stuck in my head. On a flight from SJU to ORD on a 767 something was wrong with the in-flight entertainment system and the video got stuck playing over and over every 5 minutes!!! The flight attendants were unable to make is stop!! haha
Thank you for uploading this. The very first time I ever left Europe was on an American Airlines flight, and for some reason, every time I hear this music, it reminds me of the excitement
After taking a few flights with them during the summer I kept hearing the music in my head for days after as I tired to get over my jet lag! It is strangely hypnotic!
I remember this Safety Video. I traveled between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Puerto Rico (SJU) back in 2006, and I've heard this when I was 15 years old back then. I want to find this Safety Video in Spanish; I wish you had it in that language.
@illinoisboyinchi That's terrible. Things were worse on a Southwest flight I was on three years ago when a bunch of kids wouldn't stop crying on our way to Baltimore. While waiting for a flight to Baltimore, there was a kid crying, but the good news is that once we boarded the plane, I didn't hear a peep from the kid.
@ellisitobello Where were you flying? On the 767s, are the screens above the aisle? I couldn't see based on how the camera was positioned. I know soon AA will replace the 767s with Airbuses or 787s, I can't remember which.
@maxwellus000123 Yeah, when I last flew, there were no crying kids on the flights to and from California, but I did get shaken out of my sleep when I tried to take a nap on the long flight to California.
Jingle defined American Airlines .. wish they could bring it back.. this is year 2022 American Airlines lost their marketing strategy . .they should have kept the silver stripes color on their planes and the jingle defined safety video sound - that’s the brand …
I do miss that song. But I usually heard that song cooling my heels on a delayed (or, more likely, RE BOOKED) flight. Did little to bring my blood pressure back down. Lots of screaming babies in that video (very typical in a middle seat in the rear of the plane). American Airlines never was good for me, always had terrible luck with them, unfortunately. I am a frequent flier, and have been happy with Southwest Airlines and haven't flown with American in over 10 years.
I've never had the misfortune of having a screaming baby on my flight but I hope I never do. Why would anybody EVER take an infant on an airplane... it makes zero sense.
I mean, it's okay to have a child, but c'mon! Do you really have to bring a child under 6 mo to go on a plane. I love children but when they cry on a plane it just irritates you.
@@peachworks_en There's another posted video on this website, but guess what? There's a screaming infant in that one too. In fact, it's a guaranteed staple of these flights.
Hey there, have you heard about "Reveal Travel Deal" (just do a Google search for it...)? I have stumbled upon quite a few amazingly cheap hotels as well as flight tickets. This may help you to save on your upcoming holiday too.
It reminds me of when 4 former airline employees who were terminated for theft of airline equipment. When a 747 was taken out of service the crew took the life raft. They inflated it and went fishing. Next thing they knew a Coast Guard helicopter was hovering over them. The life raft was sending out a radio distress code. HAHA
Tell me about it...there'd better not be a screaming baby/kid on my ten hour flight to Hawaii when I fly out there In a week. I'd be telling the brat, in the famous words of Duke Nukem, "You're an inspiration for birth control!" (and yes, I take birth control, but it's not because I don't want kids). Thank God for Bose Noise Cancelling headphones, they can drown out just about ANYTHING!
1: i love the song and someone needs to send me a link to the full song 2: Its funny cause your not suppose to have electronics out lls fail 3 i love american airlines NO OTHER WAY TO FLY !!! i luv you ,,, evrytime i see AA i know that im going back to my homeland and everything will be fine now :)
just saw this going through the comments to see how many people miss this. The jingle is from a commercial AA made called "Coming Home" its on TH-cam somewhere. Hope that helped 10 years ago!
whenever there's a crying baby on a flight i'm on, i try to ignore it. what gets me is the kids who throw tantrums that involve kicking which lead to kicking the seat in front of them and screaming. i was on a flight to arkansas last year waiting in denver, CO when i saw these parents with a small child pass by the shops. the girl wanted something and after being told no she made an attempt to run back and snatch the wanted item, eventually this lead to a tantrum b/c her parents said no again.
You're better off investing in a pair of noise canceling headphones. I am a woman on the autistic spectrum, and I use noise canceling headphones when I fly. Nowadays, I've been using more fancy-schmancy BlueTooth noise canceling headphones that are *cordless!* No need to worry about my Bose headphones I've used for about ten years. Unfortunately, what with the fact that corded noise canceling headphones are almost obsolete like VCRs, my folks got me those BlueTooth noise canceling headphones a little over a year ago which they bought a few years ago (I think), and I like them. They also got me a new pair of BlueTooth noise canceling headphones for Christmas in 2022 in the unlikely event the ones I currently use are experiencing issues. I haven't flown since 2014, but whenever I fly in the foreseeable future (if ever), I'll be prepared with the cordless noise canceling headphones. And yes, you *can* use BlueTooth headphones on a plane.
When I'd fly out of San Juan, they'd always have the bilingual video: "Welcome aboard American Airlines" "American Airlines les da la bienvenida abordo"
"Please fasten your seat belt. Insert the metal fitting into the buckle, and tighten the strap" "Por favor, abroche su cinturon.
i think american airlines should make ALL aircraft paints white blue white red white instead of that old grey color..... it just makes the plane look more fresh :)
@Corvette35000 babies´ crying is more endurance than most of cross atlantic airliners... put your hands up and thank God the fact of babies don´t having 2 mouths... it would be an ETOPS crying!

This is the exact comment I was looking for. So relatable
I know they had to update the videos with the merger, new aircraft etc, but I really wish they kept this jingle, for me it defined AA.
Sounds like Lovelier girl- Beach house
This jingle is still being used for the 1-800 phone number. I was a travel agent and I always enjoyed hearing the intro whenever I called AA. I didn't realize that the intro on the phone was paying homage to the AA safety video.

I remember they used to play the jingle in the commercials.
I loved the jingle and the classic AA and still do
