The pitch at 11:15 was so intentional it hurts (more the batter than me), and the announcers make it sound like Ventura did nothing wrong. Good on the plate umpire for that ejection.
The funniest part is, the announcer says, almost in one same sentence, that 1) I don't agree with that ejection....and 2) everybody in this entire stadium knows the pitcher drilled him on purpose????

Ventura was a complete hothead during his playing days and made enemies with multiple teams for seemingly no reason, and was well known around the league as an instigator. He made enemies of the Angels, White Sox, A's, and Orioles off the top of my head. He tried to start beef with Mike Trout of all people and almost had Albert Pujols barrel down on him, all because Trout got a hit off him that went right back over the mound. Yes, what happened to him was completely horrible and I feel for his family, but I accept the rough reality of who he was as a player.

Is it sad that Yordano Ventura passed away tragically at a young age? For sure.....but it is also a shame, because we will never get the chance to see one of the 2 following karmic things occur: 1) Him pull that "walking menacingly towards the batter up the 1st base line" schtick on the wrong guy, and have the base runner absolutely belt him into next week, or; 2) Have him traded to an NL team, and see him step in the box....

In fact, the dust-up after he threw Eaton out was directly caused by Ventura's comment (he said "Run" to Eaton at least once) and his insistence that Eaton was the aggressor (as he was being pulled away, he was either asking "What did *I* do?" or was saying "I didn't do anything!"). Is his passing sad? Yes...death at a young age tends to be rather sad (whether or not he was at fault), but his passing did rid the game of a fairly dirty player (had he stayed alive, his style could've very well led to multiple injuries to opposing players and possible career-ending injuries for opposing players or Ventura himself).
They need to take every stadium, and put up a boxing ring in one of outfield corners so when these guys want to go at it, send them to the ring and put the gloves on, and let em' go.

Unless you clearly say you want to challenge it, its umpires choice if they want to take another look. Same goes for the question if he got his by the pitch or not, which would be hard to tell anyways because of the dust that got kicked up by the ball. Yeah, he's lost a win with two innings to go...for it to count as a loss against him, *Hammels* needed to give up the go-ahead run (which his reliever did) *and* the opposing team needs to never yield the lead during the rest of the game.

The fact that he was ejected from his vehicle points towards a disregard for the rules of the road...much like his disregard for the rules of baseball; had he continued living, the odds of him injuring another person (on the field or off) were getting higher and higher.
