It's important to realize that a delay could be a good thing. If you get back 3 weeks later, probably not much growth happened. I'm at the point where I don't want to hear from her right now because I'm knee deep in self-improvement and have some goals to achieve (that will be easier while single!) So when I hear it could take a year, I'm surprised to react with "ok, that might actually work out better in the long run." Not my state of mind the week after the break up, I assure you, lol. Just hit 90 days NC, heard from some other ladies this weekend without even pursuing, and turns out I'm emotionally open to something new, too. So yeah, Dating Guy is right, you're gonna be ok.
Yeah... it took mine 9 months to come back... and after 2 months I ended up breaking up because he hadn't work on himself and I had. I realized he wasn't the one.

Hi, last week I started to watch your videos and it already helped me a lot. My ex and I have been broken up since end of oct. We broke no-contact a few times. End of january he said he couldn’t be in a relationship right now… he need to heal and figure his life out first. Some days I get mad at him and don’t want him back. There isn't a specific time frame. Because the attention should be on yourself, making yourself better, upgrading and enriching your own life. If they come back, act accordingly-but if not, hey, you've made yourself a better person for the next person that comes in your life. Love.
Life is limited and you aren’t defined by anyone. Live your best life like this video keeps repeating and if they do come back you’ll be far better than when you left. Then that gives you much more power to decide whether you still want them.

I hope that one day I will write how long it took me to get my ex back, today is the 55th day of no contact, I have learned a lot in this time, what and how I should do and I continue to work on myself, these videos helped me a lot, just I discovered this late, when I did a lot of things to push her away from me, such as begging. I unfriended mine on FB after unfollowing not quite cutting it. Decided I needed to not see her face for a while while, maybe ever. Pics kept showing up so, I just unfriended her and a mutual friend. Being in the same social circle was sort of problematic. I’ve hit a point where I just figure on never hearing from her again. Last time I bumped into her she was all flirty despite not wanting to reach out or go do anything. So full on no contact began. I’m over being toyed with.
I unfriended my ex also. However, Facebook gave me anxiety since I had his close friends and family on my site so I just deleted my facebook and I feel better about that decision. Once I am fully healed than I will make a new facebook account. :)

It's 10 months now.. still mis him, not everyday but sometimes it still hits. Can't date (yet) with others. I found out this 10 months that a lot of what happend was also my fault. Can you do one on social media again but in more depth? You say not to block them, okay but do you still keep them as friends on on everything or should you unfriend them on everything? Does that cause more anxiety on them or will it make them not want to reach out even more?

Me and my ex reconnected after 4 years and still in contact now, we are friends with benefits which is great because the overwhelming emotions aren't there but we still enjoy each others company.
It’s confusing when your ex breaks no contact after dumping you. Then they don’t continue the conversation at all. I’m left wondering what they want. He probably isn’t sure himself yet. I’ll continue with no contact as I guess that means it’s working.
@@ryanchaney94 he broke no contact again. We agreed to meet. Admitted he had missed me and wanted to reach out etc could not believe his luck that we were talking again. Lots of nice dates and making effort to see me. I took Craig’s advice on how to handle it so it initially went well. After 6 weeks of us seeing each other again he ended it. I could sense he was becoming distant again. He has an avoidant attachment style and didn’t work on himself so we ran into the same ‘I can’t do this it’s not you it’s me’ conversation. So I’m sad to say that no matter how much insight we have from Craig’s amazing work if the ex isn’t working on themselves to become less avoidant and more secure I don’t see how it can work. It takes two people to make a relationship work. I’m not saying I’m perfect but I feel I was perfect for him. Patient, attentive when he needed it but would allow space as well. Tried to be good at communicating. Would never have big fall outs, but would call him out on his bs which maybe he didn’t like (example, he didn’t speak to me for days on end and I asked him if there was anything wrong he would just become defensive and then act normal again) I have a more anxious/secure attachment in a sense that YES I feel like crap when someone is inconsistent with me but I’m not gonna blow up their phone or show up at their house. I can keep it inside. So it’s not like I was overbearing! Ugh! I’m still heartbroken and hopeful that one day he will come to his senses that we were a good match.
Maybe the part of "talking to friends and family" doesn't affect me much because I am on good terms with my ex's friends and her cousin. I usually spend more time with the friends more than the cousin because we are living in the same city, it is easier to hang out. I still talk to the cousin, but not all the time but we still keep the relationship as she once spoke she would love to remain friends with me. Maybe I am the lucky one!

I even went ahead and shared the channel with my ex by breaking no contact. I don’t recommend breaking no contact at all, but in my situation it felt appropriate. It was our 3rd break up in 1.5 years and I finally understand why they keep happening now. Either way, if you ended on good terms with your ex, you still care for them a lot and want to expose them to attachment theory that could literally heal broken marriages, I don’t see why not. As long as you’re emotionally ready to the possibility of getting ghosted or ignored, you should be golden.

Can being in a full lockdown and not seeing them for a few months cause them to go distance and break up with you. Once lockdown was announced my ex started to get distant I could sence it, but she was hot and cold. she stopped putting in effort and even stopped calling or facetiming me I was only able to use snap chat and was usually only blue text. After 2 and a bit months of not being able to see each other she broke up with me, what are your thoughts on that. She was very clingy and wanted to see me all the time literally up to the point she heard we had to go into lock down and was not able to see each other.
Maybe she's just going through something and her mental health isn't in a good spot. Or maybe she's interested in someone else. I don't think that someone with an anxious attachment style would throw away their only pair of shoes, like Craig says ;)

sometimes, how they get them is how they lose them. If he cheated on you with her, chances of him cheating on her are possible. But, it would take a lot of work on his part to change this cheating behavior.

The answer to my ex going off and exploring other people is they can go to hell. I'll go through what I have to to grieve and move on. You don't leave me and then go off and explore other people and think you can Meander back over like a puppy with its tail between its legs. It is my right though not to find it acceptable and if I were important to them in any way, they would step up. I told you the other day that my ex reached out after I left him alone for 6 weeks or so and it’s been 6 months since we split. Well he had bad intentions I guess. He started talking to me and then tried playing head games with me. So yeah no contact works but sometimes that person isn’t worth your pain again. He is really messed up and can’t do a relationship. @@ryanchaney94 he broke no contact again. We agreed to meet. Admitted he had missed me and wanted to reach out etc could not believe his luck that we were talking again. Lots of nice dates and making effort to see me. I took Craig’s advice on how to handle it so it initially went well. After 6 weeks of us seeing each other again he ended it. I could sense he was becoming distant again. He has an avoidant attachment style and didn’t work on himself so we ran into the same ‘I can’t do this it’s not you it’s me’ conversation. So I’m sad to say that no matter how much insight we have from Craig’s amazing work if the ex isn’t working on themselves to become less avoidant and more secure I don’t see how it can work. It takes two people to make a relationship work. I’m not saying I’m perfect but I feel I was perfect for him. Patient, attentive when he needed it but would allow space as well. Tried to be good at communicating. Would never have big fall outs, but would call him out on his bs which maybe he didn’t like (example, he didn’t speak to me for days on end and I asked him if there was anything wrong he would just become defensive and then act normal again) I have a more anxious/secure attachment in a sense that YES I feel like crap when someone is inconsistent with me but I’m not gonna blow up their phone or show up at their house. I can keep it inside. So it’s not like I was overbearing! Ugh! I’m still heartbroken and hopeful that one day he will come to his senses that we were a good match.

Maybe the part of "talking to friends and family" doesn't affect me much because I am on good terms with my ex's friends and her cousin. I usually spend more time with the friends more than the cousin because we are living in the same city, it is easier to hang out. I still talk to the cousin, but not all the time but we still keep the relationship as she once spoke she would love to remain friends with me.

do you have any advice for me. I wanted to add that he’s very stubborn and I think possibly an avoidant. We broke up about 8 months ago and haven’t had contact in almost 120 days except for a few days ago when I had to contact him to let him know some important paperwork came to my address. That conversation was kept strictly about that and nothing else.

I even went ahead and shared the channel with my ex by breaking no contact. I don’t recommend breaking no contact at all, but in my situation it felt appropriate. It was our 3rd break up in 1.5 years and I finally understand why they keep happening now. Either way, if you ended on good terms with your ex, you still care for them a lot and want to expose them to attachment theory that could literally heal broken marriages, I don’t see why not. As long as you’re emotionally ready to the possibility of getting ghosted or ignored, you should be golden.

Can being in a full lockdown and not seeing them for a few months cause them to go distance and break up with you.
Once lockdown was announced my ex started to get distant I could sence it, but she was hot and cold. she stopped putting in effort and even stopped calling or facetiming me I was only able to use snap chat and was usually only blue text. After 2 and a bit months of not being able to see each other she broke up with me, what are your thoughts on that. She was very clingy and wanted to see me all the time literally up to the point she heard we had to go into lock down and was not able to see each other.
Maybe she's just going through something and her mental health isn't in a good spot. Or maybe she's interested in someone else. I don't think that someone with an anxious attachment style would throw away their only pair of shoes, like Craig says ;)
