    What is the purpose of the "minutes and seconds" part, and what does that tell me about the azimuth exactly? Thank you

  • @sahdevindoliya7822
    @sahdevindoliya7822 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the true bearing of a line AB is 269° 30', then the azimuth of the line AB is a) 0° 30' b) 30' c) 90° 30' d) 269° 30'

    Hi Dear Sir. is there any difference b/w Whole Circle Bearings and Azimuths. it seems they both are same from video. if there is any difference please help me with that.

    • @SkillRender
      @SkillRender  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They are both the same. Just different way of calling them. In the USA it is common to call azimuths when measuring the angle from north until our line of interest is reached. And like Whole Circle Bearings they can range from 0 to 360. Again here in the US it is common to call bearings the angle measured from north to east, north to west, south to east and south to west. These measurements can only range from 0 to 90. These also are sometimes called reduced bearings. Let me know if that helps. thank you for your question, I appreciate you watching the video.

    Not all azimuth starts at north..
    Our Azimuth starts from south
    Some popular countrys azimuth starts from north thats why alot of TH-camrs who teaches stuff like this always say azimuth is from north at least address that matter to make it clear

    • @SkillRender
      @SkillRender  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching and most important for taking your time to comment. You are correct in that it depends on the country you reside. This video was made with the idea of helping students prepare for the California exam.

      @@SkillRender yes, but in your video description you stated this: "If you feel that this video can be improved, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will do my best to better help you."
      so... here's a commenter (@gelomisagal3060) who - justifiably - feels that this video can be improved; is your answer to the suggestion of improvement really "your best"? Btw, he's not asking for help; he's pointing out how you could improve your video 😀

    why c= 270°? :)

    • @hellykids
      @hellykids 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because we times the 90° angles between each cardinal direction until we reach our objective. Since B is our objective, starting north and moving clockwise around the cardinal directions until we reach B- we move through 3, 90° angles. 3x90= 270. Hope this helps :3
