Thanks a lot Sir! Not only you kindly answered my question on your previous video, you even make a new video which kinda answer my problem! Really appreciate it!
Happy to help
The epitome of "Make it happen". Inspiring. Nice acknowledgement to Wray Schelin (the Master) as well.
Awesome idea. Free and better than HF, love that.
Great video, I really enjoyed the process and has given me the motivation to make my own instead of spending a lot of money buying some
Awesome! Glad I can inspire you bro!
That’s awesome. Great ingenuity.
Now this I can do I’m quite used to working with different types of woods I have a lathe and a lot of tools and have made hammers with oak and English yew in the past . I use them for tapping chisels as there not so aggressive as metal hammers more controlled for carving things . Nice job 👍
Nice dude! I want to make one out of oak! I thought about using my metal lathe but I figured I would just rough it out with the grinder!😂😂 Thanks for watching man!
Came out great. I have the HR one too, but I like that homemade one.
Right on. Thanks Bro!
"This hammer I got online and is a piece of junk"...im thinking made in China...then we make one of Chinese Elm 😂😂😂
Hahaha that's hilarious I didn't even think of that😂😂😂
Nice idea.
Very kool, using what you have !
I made one out of an old maple Louisville slugger baseball bat , I shortened it up, and added a hardware store handle. The best tools are always hand made! And they have soul 👍
Bro that's a great idea!!!! I wish I would have thought of that!!!!
A baseball bat is plenty hard enough, that's for sure.
Your Doberman Seems to be curious about what you are up to.
I piece of Iron wood super hard wood would be great.
I didn't even know what that was, I had to google it 😂. google says it is native to Australia, I wonder if I can fine some. I'll have to look around!
The harbor freight ones are great on aluminum but for steel they just don’t have enough weight. I’ve been wanting to make one of these for a while now.
It works great. Oak would work better, I wish I would have made it out of Oak
@@BeAMetalFabricator oak would be good. I have some hickory that I think would be even better. Super hard
I might make me another one out of some harder wood but this time use my lathe to make it.
Awesome build! What did you do to darken the color of the head at the end? You've inspired me to build one. I'm going to use Pohutukawa which is a native hardwood of where I live in New Zealand. Really enjoying your videos, thanks for posting.
Thanks man I'm glad your liking my videos. I'm trying to do the best I can. Still kind of new at this stuff. Also I actually just rubbed some used motor oil on the hammer to darken the wood 😂
I was just about to add a basic mallet to my amazon cart. Now I'm going to just make one. What would you recommend for the mallet head measures? Thank you for another short and straightforward video❤
This one I built is about seven inches long. thanks for watching dude! 😎
