That was something spectacular first you killed yet another camera (You need to be more careful!)...then couldn't locate a Geo...then a dip the lake bargain! :o)
Thanks Martin. I can't decide if the map is good or annoying. Fairly easy to do; overlay a small black square, then a photo of the map (creates the black border) then a flashing red dot (I created one that fades in and out on a green screen in photoshop). Then move the dot depending on where you are in the video :o)
Your point is well made. I choose the older cameras because the new ones don't give you the length of time you need for long exposures and they try to compensate with high ISO (which fails). Also, they are cheap as chips to replace (which is a good thing!). :o)
The temperature underground is a constant 7 degrees and the sun can't get at the water Eggy. The camera was in a camera bag slung around my neck and it "rolled out" as I was climbing between levels in the mine. And, I wouldn't drink from the water in the lake (now) if I was you ;o)
Ack, when you are stood on the viaduct, look to the right of the river, near to the path border (high on the bank) just below the railway line - the adit goes under the old railway line :o)
Excellent. Where is all that water from in the Gold Mine. It's not rained for yonks. And get a camera strap, for goodness sake. I hope that lake was not for our drinking water...
Really enjoyed this Ian..very interesting, excellent quality video, and a swim too..nice & cool in this heat..VERY cold I should imagine..lol. Must try it! :-)
Great vid Ian! Dude, hope you don't mind some constructive criticism, but maybe you should contact Tomy or Tonka. After all they make indestructible toys. Why don't you get them to make you a camera?
So far as I am aware, it is still open. If you are on the footpath just beyond the old viaduct and look left, downwards - you should see a small stream coming out of the hillside and running all the way down - that's the lower adit. The upper adit(s) are on the right at roughly the same place but upwards and hidden in the trees :)

I must find some of these Gold mines and do a bit of panning in their waters. Another excellent vid and (dare I say it) - Liked the music too ;)
Nice video Ian. Shame about camera number 24. Presumably you carry several backups with you?
Ah, I was wondering how you drowned a camera but still managed to keep filming!

No do I fook ... the camera that drowned was the one I use for photos (not video) - I have another now, cheap as chips from Ebay :o)
Another great vid, liked the little map inset, how did you do that? nice one
Very good photo... made us jealous! :)
Yes, you must try it ... it was surprisingly warm. I could have stayed in for hours :o)
Nothing like to your standards so that is high praise indeed - thanks :o)
Knee "seems" ok certainly for walking - gotta love the mountains :o)

Is the adit still open. Went looking and found what looked like a blocked up adit.
