I couldn't get my head around the sequence to begin with, but when I saw it as a numerical sequence it made sense! Each note in the scale played with it's third as a pair. Like 1-3, 2-4, 3-5, 4-6, 5-7, 6-8, 7-9 etc. Really like it, thanks Adrian.
me on the way up: I am an intermediate guitarist, listen to my beautiful music me on the way down: have I held a guitar before? which end do I blow into?
I remember you did this one sometime ago. Amazing how I got so rubbish at it in the meantime. As a similar exercise try learning Vampire Weekend's "Sunflower"!
I dropped off but saved the playlist to pick up again soon, but can you add 5-7 to the playlist? Or I assume you'll add it at the end of each week maybe?
I thought I was doing ok until I tried the alternate picking, then I kinda fell apart. I think my right hand is still trying to do the James Hetfield fast down picking challenge :D
@@acpg Hmmm, scraping by on 60 before it gets messy... Can probably give it 45 more minutes today but starting to sweat a little over what I didn't think was that lofty of an ambition :-D
Thanks from an old guy in Toronto. I am a retired high school teacher. I just want to say what a fantastic natural teacher you are. Thank you kindly.❤
Thanks so much!
check out his records (The Inky Depths) ... fabulous!
You and I should start Adrian’s Old Retired Guy In Toronto fan club!
This little series of lessons has been terrible for my ego but really good for my guitar playing (or attempts thereof) Thanks a lot.
Thank so much! These daily lessons are nice manageable bites to digest. My skills have improved more in the past week than the past 6 months.
Best guitar teacher on TH-cam, undoubtedly.

Yes, that's a really good way of thinking about this pattern.
Love this series. Thanks Adrian.

Still here! Thank you, Adrian, I’m struggling with parts but this is all good stuff and I’ll be with you all the way.
thanks for the lessons you are a good teacher
Thanks! Interesting. Now, I'm off to try it.
Great Chanel !
This série of vidéos, in particular, is useful for all of us...
"Merci" from France 😉
Enjoying these, thanks.
Love what you are doing.
I've played this one for years. I got it from an old bass guitar book I had.

Don't think I know that song - I'll check it out!
It's got a bit of a duelling banjos vibe to it!
great exercise
still hanging in, though a couple of rhe previous are not quite down yet so rhe work is starting to pile on now😂
Did it. There is also a semitone backwards.
I like this. I prefer exercises that are musical
How come I really struggle on the way up but almost perfect first coming down from the top string?
Still here, great stuff mate.
Reminds of Leigh Gorman's bass in Go Wild in the Country.
Loving this series, Adrian. Just wondering what is your recommendation for practicing these time-wise as the number of exercises build up? Thanks…
😅 Day 7 ☑️

Cool! The exercise helped you identify what you need to focus on.
@@hugh3333 well thats pone of the many hundreds of things I need to focus on :)
Well, one step at a time eh@@lustreboy
Even though I have no idea what thirds means I know exactly what you want me to do, what's wrong with my brain?
❤❤❤
Great stuff so far thanks...time for change of shirt though :)
haha coming tomorrow!
Here✋️ Step 1. Learning the C scale.🙈
Challenge accepted. Goal minimum 80 bpm totally clean by the end of today!
Great goal - do it!
