    I love the way the original Mercedes Head unit looks, sounds and performs and in terms of connectivity I only needed Bluetooth audio, this happened for $10 for me without sacrificing anything. Let me know what have you done to your head unit, is it still the stock one or have you already changed it?

    Hi Max, great video, thank you. You can of course get a bluetooth device, powered by cigarette lighter plug-in, and simply connect it to the auxiliary 3.5mm jack port in the glove compartment. The bluetooth device must have its own 3.5mm jack port, and you use a male-male 3.5mm jack audio cable to connect the auxiliary port to the bluetooth device. Go to Bluetooth/Auxiliary setting in the head unit. That's what I do, and its great listening thru' those wonderful Harmann Kardan speakers.
    Of course, you have ugly cable and bluetooth device showing, plugged into lighter, but storage in glove compartment may work (it doesn't for my phone connection, unfortunately).
    Only pointing out this option, as it saves removing centre console/head unit sections as in your video, for those who feel less confident in their removal/restoration skills.

      Yes, I had this set up in my glovebox, with dedicated 12v outlet as well, but did not like it as it was taking space and was noisy. Removing the unit is 10 min job, good luck.

    • @BenzAddiction
      @BenzAddiction  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This device draws only few mili amps, so using thin wires you can unplug the cigarette lighter connector and insert the wires carefully in the corresponding Sockets and put back the connector. Secure the wires to cigarette lighter harness.

    Benz Addict, I just bought a 2006 CLK350 Coupe and want to remove the rear seat cushion so the backrest cushions (released from the trunk) will lie down flat. Although they fold flat, the rear seat cushion (which folds forward) prevents the driver seat from moving back far enough to improve driver legroom. Any thoughts or any videos would really be appreciated. Many thanks.

    can I upgrade my head unit from my 2005 A209 CLK 320 that has the harmon kardon subwoofer and CD changer but the head unit is the one that the screen notoriously peels away and has the mono led.. no color type of screen just led numbers .. • @BenzAddiction
      @BenzAddiction  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I recommend you to check the connection type first, if it is optic fibre, it won't be supported by the typical Android auto head units and then you have to buy a seperate converter for the fibre optic conversion to standard audio...
