OK A 55 Nomad, and a 55 Nomad, and a 56 Nomad, and a 57 Nomad, and a 55 convert, running 55 a LS6. and 55 a L79, and 56 a 327, and a car guy... MAJOR BINGO..
Thanks GIVEBLOOD! Yeah this has been a long time coming for all these cars to be found! Just wanted to do a video as where there are right now in the current time. Happy Thanksgiving 👍
The 2 Small Blocks were idling within 2-3 minutes---damn cold natured Big Block Chevys are always a pain---not surprised it took twice as long to cooperate on a chilly day. I had to watch the last part of the video 3 times just hear that beautiful Orchestra.
That’s good starter, my big blocks are 3 bolts , but with integrated Solenoid and on all of my Chevys I put a jumper across the big post to the start little post up to a Ford solenoid on the firewall somewhere makes it 100% better on the wiring,, works real good, thanks BigAl California
Those big blocks are cold blooded! That one took a min to warm up, those two small blocks chiming in with the big block was music! Plus ya dropped a little knowledge on us with the starter rebuild, great stuff brother 👌
Hey BW! Yeah the Big Blocks are super cold natured! I was really into hearing them all with there own sounds. Hopefully soon the convertible will join the party! I think the early 12 volt starters are pretty trick! Happy Thanksgiving to you Kim and your family 👍
Love's a convertible, dad. Oh, that'll be a piece when i'd stop big money. Gotta love a convertible that would be my choice. But all your 50 cars are beautiful. Love the channel Berry windsor ontario canada watching
Don Bud u got to real proud of yourself for a fine collection of tri 5s , yep all 3 running at the same time is music to this oh man 👍. Don wish You and Family a great thanksgiving ✌️
Thanks Lonnie! I'm very proud and humble to have gathered the cars and stuff I have in my life! It wasn't easy to well worth the effort! Happy Thanksgiving Buddy 👍
Don, All cars need work. It's called TLC. With all of the Nomads running its music to my ears, like a harmonic cord of 3 balanced tuned cars. Your playing my song, and it sounds sweet.
Don, I tell ya, this is the first video I've ever seen that I smiled from beginning to end! That starter looks factory fresh! It's good to see those early bellhousing mounted starters with those neat Bendix arms sticking out the back of the solenoid. I did not know the battery trays were different on the '55/'56. My buddy Mike owns an electronic shop here in town and he rebuilds starters, generators and alternators. He is a big tri-five guy and I need to get over to his shop to do a video. I am going to have him build me a new high torque factory starter for the historical Gasser and the Del Ray Gasser build. I have Tilton gear reductions in 2 of my '55's and I miss that classic Delco-Remy Sound! That Holley Blue pump is nostalgic too! I could tell it still had gas in it! I have always liked the L-79 '55 Nomad but, Wow, the LS-6 is awesome! I didn't realize it had such a big cam, it sounds great! It sounds like a real Bruiser! I really hope that you are able to tuck it away or hold onto it until you retire because that '55 would make a really fun nostalgia drag car to run at the track 3 or 4 times a year and get the old ticker pumping! I still love the L-79 because I own one too and the '56 is probably my favorite year for the Nomad. Great job on the video! The thumb and title really came out nice too! I hope you and your family have a great thanksgiving! Take care!
Thanks Jeff! Man I have to tell you I think these early 12 volt starters are so trick! You can mistake a Delco Remy starter sound! Your buddies shop sounds pretty dam cool I may need him to rebuild some stuff down the line. Not many of them old quality shops left around here anymore! Happy Thanksgiving Buddy 👍 Oh and the cam in the LS6 is a comp cams Nostalgia ZL-1 Plus solid lifter, something like 590 intake 613 exhaust. I'll have to find the cam card👍
Great video Don! Loved hearing them all fire up! My next project is detailing my starter in my L-76 like you have done to your convert. (I’m envious of someone with 4 Nomads and a convertible). Really enjoy your videos. All of them have been helpful to me Have a great Thanksgiving with your family!
Great video Don! A treat seeing you start the Nomads. Now You’ve inspired me me to detail the starter on my L-76. Keep the videos coming but first have a great Thanksgiving with your family! I’m envious of your collection!
You have to have a smile on your face every time you you go into your backyard or open the garage. Always appreciate you sharing what you've learned on period correct tri-five info.Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Happy thanksgiving buddy love you and the vlog and cars,I’m still looking for a shop roller 55 car ,not a nomad just a car, thanks BigAl California praise Jesus Christ grace amen 🙏
Thanks Buddy! My buddy Jeff is out in California he might know of a 55 Roller out your way? I'll keep a eye out around here for you. Happy Thanksgiving
Sounds great Dan now you have me wanting to go outside and start my 55 and 56 and yes they both run! That starter Looks really cool. Happy Thanksgiving.
Don, Happy Thanksgiving to you're family from our family here in Michigan...a great line up of Nomads & convertible in you're collection..love them just the way they are make them reliable / street worthy and drive them ! ..enjoy them as I enjoy all you're videos..love the tri fives cars / Tom
Wow Don that's so cool to me I just love that you shared it with us my old girl can be stubborn like that too hey I have a question my speedometer gets stuck at 45 can you give me some ideas on how to solve my problem. It's not perfect but I love to drive it. It takes me back to when I was a child thanks.I wish you and your family a blessed and happy Thanksgiving
Thanks Ricardo! I'd say check make sure the cables not binding up. The speedo mechanism probably needs disassembled and cleaned, oiled up. Happy Thanksgiving 👍
Thanks Don. You just don't know how much I appreciate how much you have helped me with my car the knowledge and respons to me and other makes me feel like we have been friends for a long time I am going to try what you said and I will let you know how it turns out your friend from Alabama
Starter rebuild turned out pretty awesome there buddy! Bet a guy could just sit there behind those cars and listen to them run all day! Have a great Thanksgiving Don!
Very cool Don. Love it. It’s like coming home from work to a car show. I’m still interested in that black one buddy just let me know when I can come and get it. Lol. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks Mike! Yeah it's pretty cool to have them all. I felt like it was time to do a video of them all running at the same time. I'm keeping you in mind on the black 55 nomad. It's a good old car but has its share of rust. Happy Thanksgiving 👍
I prefer a DRIVER quality car not a "perfect" magazine car, it looks strange now that EVERY classic car at a show is a show-car basically no drivers left they just get tucked away and whiped down with a diaper!!
OK A 55 Nomad, and a 55 Nomad, and a 56 Nomad, and a 57 Nomad, and a 55 convert, running 55 a LS6. and 55 a L79, and 56 a 327, and a car guy... MAJOR BINGO..

Thanks Buddy! I was sure caught up in the sound of all them. Have a good one 👍
Nothing like an old chevy coming to life.
Thanks for sure Man!
The 2 Small Blocks were idling within 2-3 minutes---damn cold natured Big Block Chevys are always a pain---not surprised it took twice as long to cooperate on a chilly day. I had to watch the last part of the video 3 times just hear that beautiful Orchestra.

I had to put a starter on my 55 Nomad back and in the day. That dude was heavy.
Hey Ed! Yeah they sure are heavy! I think the early 12 volt starts are so trick! Happy Thanksgiving 👍
That’s good starter, my big blocks are 3 bolts , but with integrated Solenoid and on all of my Chevys I put a jumper across the big post to the start little post up to a Ford solenoid on the firewall somewhere makes it 100% better on the wiring,, works real good, thanks BigAl California

Don, All cars need work. It's called TLC. With all of the Nomads running its music to my ears, like a harmonic cord of 3 balanced tuned cars. Your playing my song, and it sounds sweet.
