Yes, yes! I have the Deluxe Edition of Plucky Squire pre-ordered. I wanted to buy the game way back when it was first released digitally but I decided to wait for the physical. Nice reminder!
You guys have me hooked! There's something about the unpretentiousness of your combined approach. Nice chemistry and a genuine passion for the community that I love. Asking AI random questions about game choices and reviews and your channel is constantly referenced. Keep doing what you're doing, guys. Love it 👊🏾😎
I totally agree with the comment. This IS the go-to place for Switch for me. I often remark to myself how criminally underappreciated this channel is. The subscribers seem to creep up so slowly. They should be flying up. Fingers crossed for the guys this year with the release of the Switch 2. Hopefully, the channel will explode with popularity.
February is gonna be lit, guys. Jupiter Hell releasing on the 20th. It's basically turn-based DOOM! Played it last year on PC and had a blast, can see this being the PERFECT fit for the Switch, definitely double-dipping.
Great SNES Batman Returns reference Glen, I LOVED that game... Nice chunky sprites Let's have it on Switch Online please Nintendo/DC/Eveyone else with a vested intrest in the IP (!)
Ender Magnolia started my year off with an amazing bang! It does what you hope a sequel can do which is to bring forward the spirit of what came before while refining and improving upon it. Beautiful games, beautiful music, could not be happier!
Keep up the great work guys, remember seeing G Police in a virgin mega store on playstation , there was some space shooter as well, I was at an age where games had all this wonder back then. Games like overkill brings fondness.
@@Jedbullet29 yes very much of course the controllers are very new and feel unique in a good way it's very fun and feels fresh not like every other game being made almost the same as the others this game is very fun can be challenging at times but it's very fun once you get the hang of it
I’ve heard it’s really good on PC. I think the problem was it was a smaller kind of kickstarter game that was getting ported to system on the cusp of getting replacement. I’d say it’d definitely be worth it when it’s tidied up
Downloade and played the demo for Turbo Overkill and had a blast doing so, very fun game indeed. I wish more devs used demos to sell their games. I don’t think there’s a better way to know if you’d like a game than just playing it 😂
Thanks guys! Yes, Jan was a great month. Definitley got my eye on Ender Magnolia. I played Ender Lillies way back and I can honestly say it was one of my fave games on Switch. I mean, you obviously have to like metroidvanias, but seriously, Ender Lillies! Blade Chimera also looks amazing. Metroidvania Month!
Thsnks for the video. I like the Donkey Kong I only played the original at a "mates flat" back in the day. I do agree the price point is to high. Im glad I got it on Playasia 3 for $100 sale.... well worth it at that
I was loving Blade Chimera until that brutal difficulty spike after the dog level. I beat both Touhou and Lodoss with relative ease, I was having an easy time with this one as well, but now I've stopped cold.
@@peterc504 Hollow Knight is on a level few games match. Overall, I'd say Blade Chimera is solid but, other than its aesthetics and world, not too memorable; a good purchase for people like me who are huge fans of the genre, but for others, perhaps not so much. The game Ender Lilies I found to be brilliant, whose sequel Ender Magnolia took the #1 spot in this video (and from the sounds of it is the superior game). Perhaps you should look into them instead.
@disalazarg I see that is the thought I had when playing blade chimera demo.. Is was solid but didn't give me the feeling hollow night did.. My time is precious so I only devote it to games like hollow knight.. I actually just grabbed ender Lillie's free from Amazon prime!! Another one I want to play due to the amazing demo was nine sols
I’ve been on a bit of a war/totalitarian government themed spree at the moment managed to get through Beholder and This war of mine (again) so much for battling the backlog
Still waiting for Castlevania dominus collection physical.. wish the rumor for planet robobot remaster port for switch is real... It would be more awesome if hal laboratory/Nintendo make a Kirby collection (planet robobot, epic yarn & triple deluxe) for switch...
I didn't buy any of these, but I did buy Triangle Strategy to try getting into strategy rpgs. I got Tactics Ogre cheap but I hear TS is easier to get into and less complex that TO.
I wish I paid more attention to your Laika review because I preordered it right after, thinking my kid would like it, but discovered on start up that it depicts sexual assault. I didn’t expect that in a Switch game.
I think sun haven has a lot of controversy around it at the moment. Uncredited dev team members, unpaid artists. Released paid cosmetics before bug fixes. Hmmm
To be fair Mario has had the same premise for decades and it hasn’t lost its charm. So tails of iron 2 we shouldn’t pick on it that much . I’ll wait until the physical comes out on that . Magnolia is a double buy have the digital will buy again when limited run puts it out. If they pull the soul reaver on that and limit only the standard one and leave collector’s edition as a timed preorder I’ll quit all business with them and stick with my boys across the pond in super rare games
I am officially tying up my hands and wallet to not buy anything anymore. I have so many good games to play now. The only game review I'm waiting super eagerly for is fantasy life. Other than that I am sewing my wallet shut. 😂 No more. I need someone to be strict with me. I can't.
I bought Blade Chimera and I'm totally addicted! Try Team Ladybug's other titles too, Record of Lodoss War and Touhou: Luna Nights. They're all very similar so if you like one you'll like them all.

Hi how are you doing.
Currently playing ender magnolia, it's awesome. Stuck on the second boss mind

Wanted to let people know at the end of February Plucky Squire and Bakeru get their physical releases. 2 of the Switch’s best games last year.
Oh nice!
Yes, yes! I have the Deluxe Edition of Plucky Squire pre-ordered. I wanted to buy the game way back when it was first released digitally but I decided to wait for the physical. Nice reminder!
agreed these were 2 of the best - sadly overlooked during awards season though
@@higbeeDidn't Plucky Squire get nominated during the game of the year awards for best indie game though?

@5:38 FUCKING BEST GAME EVER
got sun haven and ender magnolia.
ys, blade chimera, laika, and tales of iron are on my wishlist.
Decent January! Mark
Ender Magnolia deserves more attention.

Ender Magnolia looks amazing! Next time ender lillies is on sale I’m jumping on that 🤞
If you like metroidvanias at all, you should enjoy these two. Some of my favorites.
agsgda the manchester exchange
your guys's back and forth is why i watch this switch channel over any others
It was blast hearing you guys having a January blast!
I really feel like mark is channeling David Brent here, and BOY does it make me want to buy games! Thanks guys.
Whoa I totally missed the Blade Chimera review! Looks very cool.

Oh yeah it was a great game back in the day. Mark
Virgin Megastore sold Milkshakes in the 90's in Brighton. Best of times!!
Crazy good month for metroidvania enthusiasts! So far only played Laika, so good, and so incredibly punishing at the same time 😅
Play Ender magnolia asap!!!
Hearing people with English accents making fun of other English accents is my new way to snap out of a depression 😂 Great video guys
If it wasn't for you I wouldn't even know of Laika aged through blood thank you I pre order it and now I'm 9 hours in and loving all of it
I was looking at that... Would you recommend it buddy?
The motor stuff... worries me, is it controllable and ok?

Looking at Ender Magnolia and Blade Chimera. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Waiting for my will to resist to fully break down 😂
ditto on blade chimera...however the demo was just ok so I hesitated...
Blade Chimera is so good! So well executed. I think I won’t be able to play other metroidvania without warping through the map 😅
Would love to see sun haven in an episode of all patched up because it looks super cool, but you know would like it to work on switch....
Definitely needs it. Mark

Turbo Overkill looks SO good, I just wish it ran at 60 fps on Switch 😮💨

Indeed I see many metroidvanias coming to the Switch, this is good of course, also the quality of them is really amazing, thanks for showing us them

Its kinda insane that we're still getting so many solid games with switch 2 just on the horizon
So many games to play and not enough time!
Lovely 🌹 thanks for the update ❤
Switch definitely kicked off '25 with a bang
Year has started well for gaming 😊😅
It has!
I know it’s a Switch channel, but I would love to hear a KCD2 review from you, on the assumption it will be on the Switch 2 in six years.
Yeah I might need to review that on Markitech honestly. It’s too good

Does the switch 2 being released mean theyll stop coming out with good console ports?
I think I’ll play DK on my Wii for now 😅
About to download Turbo Overkill, just not gonna play it until they add that Gyro - Haha -
January was definitely a surprise for indie games. Let's see what February has in store for us! 😁
I ve been playing yakuza kiwami in a 4k tv and it looks basically the same as the ps4 yakuzas, is insane
Any good games to play??? Let's find out!
No cuisineer?
I hope u ll review echoes of the plum grove tho.
I love the idea of the Laika one, but is it really gory? I just can't usually handle that. Thanks for any input.
There's something in the water... It's barjans!
I REALLY hope they rerelease Ys 6 and 7 (also on PSP). They are SO EXPENSIVE now!
Really want Ender Magnolia physical edition, definitely worth it
I've been looking at Laika for the longest time but I'm just too nervous I will absolutely suck at the bike combat to buy it 😬

Turbo Overkill kicked as much ass as Unreal 2k4, it was brilliant. Highly recommend it.
