    Hey Adam thank you for another update. I must say lockdown sure has some benefits...but on the real though, Old boi sure is old. I don't see how you win there.On the other hand I am very excited about your recessive opal and yellow project...can't wait.

      Yes, I don't have much hope for the old boy up the top. He's 15, but he looks closer to 20, really shows his age. He was a champion racer and breeder though, so I was hoping to get his genes in the project. I do have his son if he's no longer fertile.

      @@AdamArcherPigeonsTrue. I meant to ask though, is the spread black/t-check paired to recessive opal bar hen carrying opal gene? Last you said you were unable to get cocks but two black hens carrying opal.

      He is a spread black, and no, he is not. None of these pairs are for breeding the correct colour in this generation, they're all multigenerational projects. So the black x opal, I am trying to produce more birds that carry both black and opal for the breeding project. I already have 3, and will pair the best together in the next generation.

    Great set up man like what you’ve done here.
    One thing you can go to the shop and buy things?
    But you can’t go out into nature with nobody around and pick pines?

      I've moved house since filming this video and will have the new loft up soon. There is now a pine grove nearby where I can collect pine needles for the nests.

      @@AdamArcherPigeons ah brilliant I’ve never heard of that until you’ve mentioned it as it’s not something I’ve done. I had the felt things and straw, we even tried the cardboard neat pans but they were no good due to the fact you have to replace them after one use but they were good in the sense you didn’t have to clean them you just got new ones but not worth the money and time in the long run.

    Are you breeding for colour or performance? I like the individual breeding pens

    • @AdamArcherPigeons
      @AdamArcherPigeons  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both, performance is always #1 in my colour projects.

    Wait what? How are you getting them to breed at this time in the year? Are you using lighting?

    • @AdamArcherPigeons

      Winters are mild here. I reckon some of them will breed through July even.
