Thanks for the show team. I am always disappointed in Ugandans who are on the front line of anti-corruption only to use the youth for their own benefit. This could be the reason why some opposition parties weren't actively involved in March to parliament; because of the money since it didn't come through their pipeline. Uganda needs a leader who is ready to change the system.

It’s just a Muhoozi marketing strategy.
Otherwise, fighting corruption requires a move from a person-centred governance system (UNITARY system) to a system that that empowers nation states and institutions (federal system) - a system that has checks and balances by design as opposed to the current UNITARY system
Uganda needs a strong system not just a strong man.
But I think 70 percent of ugandans are all sick,depressed and frustrated in one way or the other… because the way the diplomats are also behaving is so worrying hmmm the country needs more rehabilitation centers!!! Thank you investigator tv team tusiima.

Thank you Team for the program. I agree with you all that corruption is a big problem in Uganda. But I don’t think that if M7 takes a hard stance on corruption then Uganda’s problems will be significantly reduced. I believe that Corruption in Uganda is just one feature of a much big problem, which is poor governance and leadership, with incompetence and a severe lack of rule of law, a lack of strong independent public and democratic institutions to uphold the rule of law and order, and the few that are trying, always being influenced by the state for political gains. So if we call for a mere fight against corruption we are lowering the bar. The call should be for a complete overhaul of the way the country is governed, a complete reset. Not a mere change of guards,party or leadership, but rather a review of the structures of government ie the powers of the executive, reviewing the legislature ( ie having two Houses of Parliament for example like in the US, the senate & house of reps. Or in UK the House of Commons & the lords ), implying a new constitution, a change of how Uganda should be governed.
Thanks Doug for this contribution. However, whatever you point out as Uganda`s problems can have their source traced back to corruption. Corruption is beyond mismanagement of funds but power and much more

Mr. Ndungu as you are disappointed in Spyre, am too disappointed in you as far as the demonstrations are concerned. I don’t think all people will follow the path you want to take. Instead of frustrating those who don’t believe in your means, let us all tackle corruption from different angles with different means. I don’t think EU has gone low to support people who are looking for Visas. I will agree with Mr. Kasozi that the government is using those few people to fight down the main cause. This government is good at that. Example look at all opposition parties fighting each other. Otherwise big up to you all.
Unfortunately, you might not return to appreciate Ndugu when you eventually understand his take and appreciate his message. However, he doesn't force anyone to change their style of fighting corruption but the same shouldn't be laced with corruption tendencies.

The culprit was a 17 year old boy born and raised in the UK with Rwandese descent from both his parents and he wasn’t muslim at all. This sparked the riots

I’m of the view nti you could have excused yourself from discussing the Ugandan Ambassador to Canada’s case since you described her as a friend when beginning to talk about her embarrassing behaviour that disgraced the office of the ambassador. I think we might have just lost a customer at Yaya!
That aside her behalf was totally disgraceful , uncouth and embarrassing. It brought shame to the President and the country as a whole. An ambassador of a country commands a lot of respect. He or she is consider to be a “president” in the nation he or she is sent to. The job comes with huge responsibilities which I don’t think most ambassadors of Uganda in this age, where many are chosen on political grounds, really understand! It’s such a pity that Uganda’s image abroad has been great damaged during this govt’s. Scandal after scandal every after a while!
