    I can guarantee you that smoothie did not thicken because it was chilled. It thickened because you added the Chia seeds. Stir some Chia seeds into a little bit of water and see what happens to them after around 10-15 minutes.

    I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure that the reason why the smoothie became thicker, was because of the Chia seeds, I'm pretty sure they coagulate water.

    You might want to go back and look at a TV show called Take Home Chef. Curtis Stone was the chef, he picked up people at the supermarket, came up with a menu, bought the groceries, and took them home to cook it. That show is what got me started in trying things I never thought I could do. Beef Wellington, Pavlova, chocolate souffle are 3 that I just love to do now. It was an amazing show, I'm sure you could inspire many more people with your version😅😊

    I've been cooking loads with chia because its supposedly great for avoiding blood sugar spikes after eating and its nutrient dense and can make you feel fuller longer. It looks like your are going to get more of a chia pudding than smoothie, depending on how long it sits in the fridge. LoL. If you want a frog egg type looking drink, I presoak a few tablespoons of chia in water overnight, then I add them to water and drinks throughout the day. Skittles Tropical sugar free drink mixes go great with the chia texture, my fave is the strawberry dragonfruit. Chia (and hemp hearts) go great in overnight oats too.

    If you’re vegetarian I wouldn’t suggest using that particular brand of noodles, the sauce contains chicken powder.

    • @animeartist888
      @animeartist888 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Almost every noodle packet like that will contain some sort of meat broth in the powder. Also have to be careful buying veggie soups, check to see what the broth is made of. Just as an example, Panera's cheddar broccoli, one that sounds vegetarian (although definitely not vegan) has chicken broth in it.

    Great episode, absolutely love this series! I especially liked the noodles - I always make mine like this. I get in trouble for making instant noodles "less instant". What can I say, though? Cooking is fun! Frozen veggie mixes also really work well for the dish and you can get prepped veggies that you can't get in the fresh section, like sliced okra and asparagus. Can also confirm that it's great with tofu and in terms of keeping it vegetarian, it's most important to check the seasoning in the instant noodles! The toppings are the easy part.

    This is my favorite series of yours. You say something in this video that is so true, you can make some amazing dishes with only three items! I remember once I was looking at an almost empty fridge trying to figure out what to make for dinner. So I took a bag of spinach, cut up some tomatoes, and added chunks of smoked Gruyere cheese. I topped this with a sweet onion and peppercorn dressing. Probably once of the best combinations I've ever tasted in a salad.

      People (especially here in the USA) tend to really underestimate how diverse and creative salads can be. I love to mix up the base between kale, romaine, green lettuce, spinach, or even cabbage. And a good dressing can really blow away the competition too. 'No one really wants them'? CDs are the best! I see them being sold in stands all the time around here in my country

    You can 4 3 2 1 in other people's homes using ingredients they already have.
    Or just cook meals using stuff they have on hand.

    Could you make less cups but use some dough to put over the top to make toffee apple cinnamon pies?

    OMG I can't wait to see how thick your smoothie is. LOL. We make Chia seed pudding. Just yogurt, a bit of OJ to thin it out, banana slices and Chia seeds. Leave it overnight, and the next day it's as thick as thick pudding. An amazing, healthy breakfast.

    Prediction, CDs will be just as wanted as Vinyl in say, 10 years. Hold on to them. Or send them to me. XD
