@@mlg96xYeah. Maybe they rushed the process. I know the original Browns announced the move to Baltimore late in ‘95. I don’t remember when the NFL announced Cleveland would get another team.
The reason why teams build new stadiums and those that are domes or in this day and age have roofs, is to host a SB. I'm fine with it being all over the U.S.
I understand why you want "fun" cities to host the SB, but in terms of economic booms (the reason NFL spreads it out), Vegas doesn't need it. LA is also an anomalously, logistical nightmare for a SB (Getting in and out from what I've heard), but I hear them brought up a lot too. I've heard from some people in media that Indy was a great host city. (And they host many sports events, tho I'm not from nor do I live in Indy) I understand booking hotels to be an issue, but cities will make it work, really hate we go to cities that don't have any need for economic booms.
I'm a born & raised Hoosier so I'm biased. That being said, Dan Patrick said his favorite city for the SB was Indy & a number of others have praised Indy's ability to put on big events. Plus we had really mild weather that SB year which definitely helped. Indy hosts so many different big-time sporting events(pro & collegiate) & always does it right, so I'm hoping we get in the SB rotation
It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see Payton get Michael Penix from UW. Penix could definitely drop due to injury concerns. But if I was picking in the middle or later stages of the Draft, I’d grab him in a heartbeat. Great arm, great football player and a great person.
Rotation? Nah, that's dumb as hell. It should change every year and any city that meets a stadium requirement (say, covered stadium) gets a chance at hosting it. Screw Vegas.
Is there a decent number of quality QB prospects next year if these QB needy teams decide to not draft a QB or grab one in free agency? It feels like this year has a very good class but is it worth reaching for if they can build up their teams in other areas. I know Denver is short on money this season thanks to wilson and needs depth in multiple areas.
Rotation? Maaaan I've been saying for years, the NFL should build a stadium in Vegas just for the Super Bowl and make it the permanent Super bowl venue!
No way possible the Broncos can afford a veteran, not eating Russ's contract, so it has to be a rookie... which means a rookie for the next 3-5yrs. I'm betting Payton goes after JJ McCarthy, with either Penix or Bo Nix as a backup plan
I’m begging the Steelers to get Justin Fields for there next QB . because there is no way Kenny is getting the Steelers to the Super Bowl , EVER !!!!!!
You think the bears have thought anything completely through! 😂 Complete dysfunction. They are going for the 3-peat... Only in getting first overall picks 😂
Vegas hotels are cheaper than any other major city… if you mean the ticket price I suppose I get that but I don’t think it will be *that* much less in other cities either.
This sucks for Justin Fields. Hes done everything right. Thw organization has put him in such a bad place. Im a Giants fan. Idc about the bears. I just feel so bad for that young man
Yea, I feel for him, too. 3 different coordinators, new management, zero line protection, and WRs. No QB would have time to process and hit receivers with less than 2 seconds in a pocket. If they select Williams, Bears fans start the growing pains all over. I think C.J Stroud playing so well in his rookie season, every team now wants that, which is really not going to happen. At least Fields has the experience at NFL level, which is a different beast
I like Justin Fields, but his on field processing ability has been criticized from a lot of people. I think the Bears will f up any prospect they get, and Fields may be pretty good, but he's got an issue with processing, that's almost universally understood. Dude would be dynamite with the Niners. or another team you don't gotta worry about the QB making real decisions.
The Justin Fields over Caleb Williams take is such a bad take - Fields has done NOTHING and people think he is better than Williams could be, that is MAD!
Well we know you and people like you will keep trying to convince everybody on the innerwebs that Justin Fields sucks. Hope you're getting paid for that.
@@jacobstrouble6631 he is firmly mediocre - had a 16:9 TD:INT ratio, a 46.1 QBR and only threw once over 300 yards in 2023. Why would you pick him over Caleb?
@@Wagon-ve5uc Because I watch the games. Stats lie. I noticed you never mentioned Chicago's other deficiencies. Did you see USC's backup play? Where are you stats on that?
@@jacobstrouble6631 as a devout Packers fan I'd love the Bears to stick with Fields. Fields already has DJ Moore, Cole Kmet and a decent O-line - he had plenty of help last year. What number QB in the league is he? 3 years in and he is barely top 20 - time to move on or watch the Bears get another high pick
R. Wilson should just retire. I can't see him wanting to go somewhere and mentor someone else and there really aren't any 'good' places for him to go. Tampa perhaps? But I can't see Tampa not wanting to resign Baker for a 2 year deal, he's serviceable and he's pretty cheap for having that much gas in the tank.
Can we stop the “rotation” talk? The Super Bowl is already corporate enough. The NFL is supposed to be for the fans and a rotation would take away some of the accessibility for people to go to the game. It’s one thing to spend money on a ticket but then travel expenses and the actual need to travel on top makes it even harder.
There is no rotation and the Super Bowl needs to be in more diverse locations. I get tired of it only being in warm climates. Why can't Chicago, Green Bay, Seattle or even New England get a Super Bowl? I feel every NFL city should be allowed to host one Super Bowl. But that's just me and while I get the logic, I don't have to agree with that narrow plan.
Looks like Mike F moved all the booze off his kitchen counter he used to have as seen on his podcast or other hits. I'm guessing he drank it all. Crabby know it all dude.
A bit surprised to see the numbers a Flores video does on this channel compared to others. Personally, if I never have to see or hear this guy again on football related content, I'd be content.
When will Florio stop posing as some kind of insider? He only "reveals" things a well-read fan already knows. Rich asks him, "What are you hearing about..." and he tells us what was already reported by some other source. And for heaven's sake, stop "reporting" while wearing hand-me-downs from the spare kitchen/wine cellar in your basement. Nobody should take this guy seriously.
Florio's cunning craft consists in turning the absence of facts (Bears/QB situation? nothing new. Dallas/All-in? nothing new. Free agency QBs? nothing new) into a myriad of plausible scenarios AND treating them all as though they were the life-defining topics players, GMs and FOs are currently burning the midnight oil over. In other words, his m.o. is "as long as nothing is known, enything can be true, so let's sell it". He is a media con man: he knows nothing, imagines everything, and disguises his speculations as insightful (or "insider") information. Peace, 17.
Mike Florio has gone full Sopranos with the tracksuit
Oh I missed that nugget! He looks like a Guido going through the buffet line at Circus-Circus
West Virginia university bro. and his home state, plus where he lives now. Sopranos? not a chance, not even close...Tracksuit? 😂
With our without the tracksuit, he never had the makings of a varsity athlete
If Florio thinks they should keep Fields, they should definitely draft Williams lmao
Nashville is already building a stadium? Their current one opened in ‘99. Crazy.
Cleveland also trying to get funding for a new one and there's also opened in '99
@@Johnny82UtahReally? That’s balls. I don’t get it. Well, I do. It’s all about money.
