This reminds me of 99999Daan's build. Took a RC8 frame, put in the 1290 engine but he also made custom fairings, gave it the Super Duke's single sided swingarm and made sure all the rider aids like traction control, wheelie control etc are also functional. He also made a 1290 supermoto and a 390 supermoto
That bike so far ahead of it time looks cooler today
Looking forward to watching more of this but it would be nice to have less time lapse and more showing/explaining.
Love the maddness and I'm here for it, this will be a sick build. If you could also modernize the fairings it would take it to the next level.
This is what I’m looking For FINALLY!, looking forward to it
Subscribed. Looking forward to this build.
Are you not concerned about the gearing and less top speed?
Best of luck with the build
A Performance Bikes reader did the same swap a few years back and his turned out perfectly. I truly hope that yours does as well. Its the bike that KTM should have produced. In 2015 I was torn between buying a new RC8R or The Panigale 1299s. I went with the Panigale due to the larger engine but I would still like to find an unmolested RC8R as they are much easier to live with and they handle so well.
You might consider buying a chain breaker....
Nice 👌 it’s what all Super duke owners been thinking . Well I have anyway .
Love my rc8 but it is definitely a bit dated compared to the modern machines with their fancy electronic features like fuel guages.
Thst time-lapse music tho
Good content bro keep on doing like this!
Question. Outside of ECU mapping won't you still run into issues like naked bike gearing from the teeth in the transmission?
Great question! Ecu and mapping is easy since everything is swapping over from the superduke. The crazy thing with gearing is the SDR and RC8R both have the same stock gearing 17-38
@@JBellz ohh that's super convenient.
Appreciate your response. I'll be keeping an eye on the build
What about the Single sided Swing Arm?
Anyone doing RC8C replica bodywork yet? 😍
Hey man. You got an email address? Would like to chat to you about a something. I've got a Gen 3 2020 SDR that has been totalled and I'm in the process of rebuilding it.

Death Machine.
That's what makes them so exciting.
They already do make one... just not a street legal bike.
Oh rc8c? 140hp 889cc parallel twin, nearly the same thing
Technically KTM doesn't even build that one, they just supply the 890 engine and got different fairings made to put on the Kramer frame
Sacrilege to pull apart a brand new SD 😢. KTM is waiting for the v4 to go in their superbike.
