@@foXnoMad I wish I could say the same about your video. Perhaps click baiting tittles aren't the best strategy to get more subscribers? Yes, you've got 1 more view but no sub. Just my 2 cents.
Good topics, but I've experienced a totally different downside of Insta360. I know many of you use Macs, but the Studio software on Windows doesn't support several GPU's well at all. Playback and the whole UI gets laggy, almost unusable. I've been in contact with their tech support for over 6 months (!!) about this, even video chats where they confirm the problem, and don't have a solution. If not the primary and only GPU, they don't support Nvidia 3050 Portable or Nvidia4070Ti (external Thunderbolt GPU in my case). They want me to disable all but the base Intel GPU in my laptop (then it runs well, but of course without the benefits of higher-end cards), which is a crazy workflow, because other video editors used for production won't work well then. So. Very cool videos, WOW factor watching marketing videos, but the workflow is smashed into pieces in the end. They've offered another SD card, but still refuse refunding. That's ripping people off! Be careful with Insta360.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the graphics cards. It could be why I get terrible export quality from my laptop, while it's much better from the mobile app for me. This is the absolute opposite of what everyone's experience seems to be in all of the videos I've watched. This seems to explain it.
The X4 lacks some HDR features. The HDR photo implementation is very disappointing, with no options for the number of shots, +/-EV, or saving RAW HDRs.
How big are the biggest files you got from the X4? i would like to run it with a powered selfiestick for up to 4 hours roadtrip with the gps data in 1 file instead of many 30min, like on my X3. Tnx.
I got about 59 minutes recording (test) with 23 celsius room in 8k. I haven't shot outside a whole lot yet (49 ambient) Thanks for the video -- a different perspective. I agree the X4 seems like an inbetween product. It's my first 360 camera (have an Ace Pro I am mostly happy with) and the ecosystem is decent.
49 outside! Guess you are in the right place to test for heat issues in extreme conditions. Enjoy filming with it, 360 cameras really change what you can capture 📸
Thanks for this. I'm considering buying this to record my podcast which is usually about 2 hours long in an Air conditioner environment. Now it's just to find out if it does stay on for 2 hours, what size memory card to use.
So basically what EVERYBODY is saying... mention ONE thing that the other reviewers haven't.
Your comments are great.

Nice vid, and cozy place you are in. Where is this?
Thanks for this video!! So, would the x4 still overheat if using it in Thailand, but only on the 5k mode and not 8k?
Overheating is always a possibility, especially on hot Thai days, but in 5k mode you will get a lot more buffer time for recording. Hope this helps!
Neahh..still a long way to go! I'll wait for the X7 and maybe not get 2016 video quality from a $700 "action camera"
The cam DO NOT erase the stick,it simply don't "see" it...
Which wall charger do you use for the Insta360 X4 or the X4 Charger? Could it be the iPhone charger?
USB-C.
I got yourself a new subscribe! Thank you for what you doing.
I appreciate it, thanks!
thankyou for a proper balanced review , very refreshing
Is X4 better in low light than X3? To shoot in 8K, do you need a more expensive, higher performance memory card?
Both are bad in low light and at 8k you're going to need a bigger card probably, the file sizes are big 🙃
The X4 lacks some HDR features. The HDR photo implementation is very disappointing, with no options for the number of shots, +/-EV, or saving RAW HDRs.
Do the X3 supports that feature of HDR +/- EV?
Hi do u color grade the x4 videos? Or is the video original?
Yes, the same color grade (LUT) used throughout the video.
Disheartening to hear about the sponsorship ethical issues with insta360. Good review thanks for it
Still rocking my X2
Great review thanks. 👍🏽

Tnx.
Get the biggest card you can, at 8k files are around 750Mb per minute.
@@foXnoMad I have been using 1tb sandisk extreme on my ace pro and X3. im thinking how big can the uninterrupted recorded files become.. like 100+ gb?
I haven't recorded for that long but it's possible since you won't have the 30 minute cuts like you do on the X3.
pleAse add Timestamps to each sections in the videos...
Does X4 support linux yet?
Regards
Not that I'm aware of. Might be best to reach out directly to their support to see what your options are.
: Minimum distance between the camera and a subject? Like, if i want to get a closeup content...
Depends on the mode but in 360, you will get significant distortion as you get close up. Also, need to be careful of the stitching lines.
You can connect this to external power bank and record, but this increase the heat

What nobody’s talking about is they remove the WebCam feature! Pay more money get less features!
Can i use 5,.7k in single lense mode in insta360x4
No, maximum 4k.
