This thing is the best if you are into emulators and retro gaming . Forget the Nvidia Shield pro it is way too restricted, more expensive and less memory. Bt- king Is also Emuelec compatible where you can boot direcly and natively from an sd card, not interfering with android.

Beelink Gt King pro great unit, until it does an upgrade, then firmware gets corrupted, then support says flash firmware, takes 2 weeks because flash doesn't work, then told firmware online is corrupt so its now an expensive paper weight until Beelink support decides to answer me........Unfortunate!!!!!!!

I understand Nvidia Shield is the Best Android box, but it has become a real pain to sideload apps with Shield. If you are only watch Netflix or Prime go with the Shield because it supports 4K the Beelink GT only supports 480P because it not Android TV OS just the Phone OS.

I now have 2 x Beelink GT King Pro and I think it's the best box and significantly better value for money. Having said that, I mainly use it for Kodi and IPTV and I like to build the box with apps/apks of my liking not what Nvidia wants to stick on it. I stream 1080p and 4k to a 65 inch oled and the quality is fantastic. The Nvidia use to buffer and freeze from time to time which is why I ditched it. 10 out of 10 for me.
Richard sorry if Ive confused you, I was also responding to Davids comments re Nvidia. I should add, with the Beelink, I don't like the remote I ordered one more like the Nvidia remote for $12..

I bought a beelink and its nothing special. When I change apps from Netflix to TH-cam it drops the volume I set up. Any fix?

I got one the Bluetooth is really bad tested with sony and dolby dimension and many ear buds

I tried to do that with a laptop HDD and a SATA-USB adapter, and the latter was ruined...
