The most messed up thing about the aliens episode is that they thought they were on the moon. They were trying to abduct an entire society of another species.

You could pick up a scratch and sniff card from any grocery store and the episode would tell you when to sniff each section of the card as the episode played. I remember Squidward's "egg sack" and the boots getting fried as two sniff moments.

I dunno, I thought Spongebob was pretty annoying as a kid. But as an adult, it's obvious the way it's written, Spongebob is just a well meaning idiot. And usually Squidward tries to take advantage of Spongebob's naivete in some way. And usually it ends up blowing up in Squidward's face. Sure, there are some episodes where the sentiment that Squidward is just cynical and trying to be left alone is true. But most of the episodes, Squidward projects elitism and purposely tries to sabotage people and pays for it in the end.
I love how the topic of SpongeBob's feet keeps getting brought up. This really is one of the few Nick shows that didn't follow the Schneider trend of feet = "funny" (probably due to the lack of child actors)
It kinda feels wrong to say he's relatable when his elitism and narcissism are turned up to a comedic degree and displayed every episode. Similar to Mr. Krab's greed. None of the character are relatable really, maybe Sandy is the most?

The hall monitor episode has always been one of my favorites. There are a handful of things from SpongeBob that I quote almost daily and “ IN THE HALL!” is one of them.
