  • After filming in Dubai last episode, I set off for Iran to start my road trip across the Middle East. My journey began in the beautiful city of Shiraz, known for flowers and poetry. Come with me as I explore my first Persian city as a female alone - the food, the architecture, the markets of the bazaar, but mostly, the people. I stayed in the magical Darbe Shazdeh boutique hotel, where I met an inspiring couple from London, travelling Iran with their children as a family. I also became friends with Faranak, the owner of the hotel, who gave me fascinating insight into life as a woman, business owner and advocate of tourism to Iran. I hope you enjoy this travelogue. I still have much to learn about Iran's history and politics and culture, however, I hope that maybe I might encourage you to consider the positives and beauty of this frequently misunderstood country.

I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time I was watching this as I had a similar experience 2 years ago traveling Iran for a month. People welcoming you to Iran and people asking to have a chat to practice their English and just the beauty of the country. My favourite country in the world 😍
