Tulsa FD at work! I'm retired from the fire service (40 + years) and recently moved to Tulsa. I'm very impressed with TFD. Obviously this department understands training.
@Andrew V Reed thanks for the info. You've basically confirmed all that I have heard about TFD. Like I said I am definitely impressed with what I have seen so far. As much as I want to swing by a station and grab a cup of coffee with the guys I've intentionally stayed away. My wife is appreciating the fact that I'm retired and no longer living and breathing the FD. Lol
@Andrew V Reed , like I said earlier, I'm very impressed with TFD. Your statement that they promote from within makes me like them even more. I've always been a firm believer that the best leadership comes from those who have worked their way up through the ranks. I was on the road the other day and had the chance to see station 20 responding. I was thrilled to see how the enginer/chauffeur navigated the intersection. He did it in a very safe manner and I could see that both him and the officer were really paying attention to the traffic situation. I know that doesn't sound like much to an outsider but to me it shows that TFD is a professional department in all aspects of the job.
How many ff got on that roof and nobody sounded it for integrity. I know this because the first man up there didn't have a tool in his hand. I like that everybody was masked up, but being out of the action you don't need to be air on. It got very congested around that building. I like the roof crew asking if anybody was in the house before he opened the nozzle. Overall good job.
It is the PASS device on the SCBA. firemen will move usually wiggle of the hips will reset the PASS. if a firemen is standing still for more than 15 secs the alert will sound. It’s a safety feature on the SCBA for if a firemen is down.
@@Brenbfilm Thank you so much for responding! I watch a lot of videos of different fire departments and have never seen them wiggle! I thought maybe their uniforms were giving them wedge's. I learned something new today! Thank you!

I like watching Tulsa FD. Always good work. Lets see a few more rings above the roof line. Use em if you got em.
