I’m not a member of this church or haven’t been one to watch Joel Osteen because I’ve always heard that he is only a prosperity preacher and all about money. It’s not my place to judge others and I don’t believe this life is about material possessions and that our goal in this life shouldn’t be about wealth, but sacrificing for Christ and helping others to understand we are all sinners and understanding why Jesus died for us and that we need to turn from our sins. After watching this video, I’m convinced that Joel does not deserve the criticism and attacks from other Christians, I see his gentle spirit and it takes all types of personalities to help win souls for Christ. IF he is not preaching that Jesus is God and that he died to redeem us and is the only way to heaven and that we need to repent from our sins, then I would agree that he is mistaken. I don’t see that’s the case here, some people are receptive to the bold street corner preacher, while some people may be more receptive to Joel.

It's so funny you wrote this because I was coming in to respond to those same judgments. I live in Washington state but have a daughter in Houston who attends this church. I've been there...lovely people. But I too see how off-track the criticisms of this man have been. He has a beautiful soul and the main difference I see in him and those talking heads who choose to condemn him is that he is a much better reflection of the love Of God.

This message shows THE reason to watch and follow Joel. He uplifts everyone and judges no one for any reason. He ministers to every human being who will listen, just to make them feel better about themselves, knowing that only LOVE will bring people to kindness and Love for each other.

He will beloved, and it's all worth it! Dont lose heart or hope( spend time with God/ read and meditate on His word)! Adjust your focus if the reason for your suffering gets to be overwhelming from looking at it or thinking about it. Pray in that moment your feeling the weight of it. The Holy Spirit is there and waiting for you to request His assistance!
